One article on the OL/DL isn't enough for the turnout at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp, so we are back with another list of athletes that impressed me. They clearly impressed the coaches in attendance as well as several of these kids have since earned offers from college programs. These student athletes are so lucky to have this event so close to home and a lot took advantage of it. Let's talk about how these athletes won the day and caught my attention rep after rep.

One of the hottest recruits on the recruiting trail this summer has been Winneconne DL/OL Hudson Samolinski. He has earned several D2 and FCS offers to this point. The '26 DL crushed the combine with a 5.07 40, 4.58 shuttle, and an 8.4' broad jump at 280 lbs. The big man is also a National qualifying powerlifter and the strength he has built carries directly to the field. Hudson has violent, devastating hands that got OL off balance with that initial punch. It was so easy for him to quickly get hands down on the OL. He also could quickly create separation with that power to press opponents away. The power in his lower body gives him power and quickness out of his stance. Size, power, and violence make up a very intriguing prospect here.

I don't think there was a kid in River Falls that had a better day than Big Foot's [player_tooltip player_id='1737598' first='Owen' last='Smith']. The '26 came in with 1 D3 offer and 1 D2 offer. Within a couple days after the event Owen had earned 9 additional D2 offers and had a lot of FBS and FCS interest and discussions at the event. It is easy to see what everybody loves. Owen has built a powerful and explosive frame with elite length to dominate on the edge. We got to see Owen vs the best in attendance when we got to 1v1s and it made for entertaining football. Owen has that explosive first step and paired with his length it is so easy for him to make first contact and keep separation. He played with active hands and his foot quickness and lateral agility allowed him to whip around OL so quickly. On top of it Owen has impressive TE tape from 2024 as well. Smith will debut as one of the top athletes when rankings are updated over the next month.

Another 2026 who hit my radar during the Mega Camp was Roncalli's Kannon Kinsella. He is another impressive athlete who was winning reps at DL and also has been a very impactful TE on offense. The 6'3" 240 lbs athlete ran a 5.00 40, 4.81 shuttle, and had a 32.8" vertical. Watching him on the field and going back to his tape has made me a big fan of him very quickly. He is a very smooth athlete for his size. The balance, quick feet, and ability to move laterally are all strengths of his as a pass rusher. Plus he has the power in his upper body to quickly disengage from blockers and create space to utilize when getting past the OL. On top of it all, Kannon has a 3.8 GPA and a 27 ACT. We need to get a lot more eyes on the Roncalli standout.

It was a great showing for 2027 OT [player_tooltip player_id='1412712' first='Sam' last='Schmidt'] at the Mega Camp. He had a fantastic check-in verifying his 6'6" 265 lbs listed frame. I made sure to take in a few of his reps when the pads went on. The big man is a special athlete. He is so light on his feet, and has the balance and body control to make mirroring pass rushers look effortless. The incoming junior does really well trusting his athleticism and not reaching for his opponent. He knows he can get hands on first with that elite length and from there he has the agility and power to win. It is also clear that his frame is going to be able to hold closer to 300 lbs really well because the 265 lbs on him has only just started to fill him out. The arrow is pointing straight up for this kid. He even recently earned his first offer from South Dakota State.

I had heard about Peyton from our Dakotas scout leading into the event, so it was great to see him stand out to me once the event started rolling. Peyton is now up to 6'6" 310 lbs and is already looking like a college OL. I saw Peyton at the center position in battles and he crushed it. He has an anchor with power that matches his big frame. Seil stood up a lot of DL with that anchor and his ability to play with a low pad level. Almost every rep I watched Peyton did a great job with his hand placement on his opponents too. Big things are ahead of this kid.

A WI 2026 who pushed himself up my board is [player_tooltip player_id='1220699' first='Nicholas' last='Gray'] out of Milwaukee Academy of Science. The IOL checked in at 6'2" 275 lbs and the kid really impressed me in 1v1s. He has a really solid frame that can handle trench play at the next level. What he also has is really quick feet that caught me off guard. It was impressive watching how quickly he could slide side to side and change direction while engaged or not. Even while moving like that Nicholas also proved that he can still play with power to shut down the bull rush that IDL like to try to win with. Nicholas has the talent to help provide a secure pocket at the next level.

Another very intriguing 2026 out of WI on the OL is the 6'6" 270 lbs [player_tooltip player_id='1361654' first='Carson' last='Fieck'] out of Lakeland Union in Minocqua. He is a raw athlete with so many tools that you simply can't teach. Carson has some solid athleticism for the position whether it be able to get depth in his pass set or crashing down a DL on his inside gap or getting up to level two. On tape we see that he does have superior power in a lot of matchups and dominates with double teams as he works up to level two. Carson's best football is ahead of him. Someone is going to get a steal.
