2028 DB Stock-Risers

As we wind down with the 2028 class, we're looking at a strong defensive back class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here, I'm breaking down five stock-risers at the defensive back position, including four guys who moved from the watchlist into the rankings. I'm glad I was able to see his tape early enough to get out ahead of the offers, as Wake Forest recently stepped in to offer the varsity starter with the ability to play both safety and corner. He's physical, and I think he may have the hips and footwork to stick outside at corner long-term. After starting on junior varsity last year, Walker moved up to varsity midseason and played extensively during West Charlotte's title run. He's physical, but still has room to grow. Like all Hough corners, he's well=trained, and has a technical ability ahead of most freshman. His future is likely as a boundary corner, though he could probably flex down into the slot as well, thanks to impressive change-of-direction. For now, I really like him as a safety, a guy who can play in the box or back in center field in single-high looks.
