2027 Rankings Update- Who Are The Top QBs In AL?

With our new 2027 Rankings Update underway, it's only right that we look under center and watch some of our top QBs here in Alabama!   We were super impressed watching these guys film – they have so much talent and potential at the next level, it'll be exciting watching them in their junior seasons this fall.   As always, make sure you watch some of their tape below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1068557' first='Cason' last='Myers'] is a dominant QB out of Pike Road who is coming in as our #2 QB and #9 overall prospect in the state.   "At 6'2 190, Myers is an impressive passer who can put the ball anywhere on the field. He has some serious arm talent- he can push the ball downfield, accurately lead and hit his WRs in stride, and has a careful understanding of his team's offense that allows him to consistently keep the ball safe.   It's even more impressive watching how well Myers maneuvers the pocket. He's great at avoiding pass rushers and keeps his eyes downfield to keep plays alive, consistently creating huge plays under pressure. Myers is also mobile and can create big plays with his legs if necessary- he always finds ways to keep the chains moving every snap and never puts the ball at risk."   Myers has picked up offers from Boston College, Purdue, ECU, and plenty of other schools this offseason. They're only going to keep heading his way; Myers is set up for a ton of success this upcoming fall.   Check out some of Myers' tape below- he's a talented passer with a big season ahead.      [player_tooltip player_id='1015233' first='Gunner' last='Rivers'] is a really talented QB out of Saint Michael's Catholic who is coming in as our #3 QB and #13 overall prospect in the state.   "Rivers has been one of the most productive passers in the state over the last two seasons. He and WRs [player_tooltip player_id='1408975' first='Brody' last='Jones'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1283053' first='Tucker' last='Tomlinson'] have developed an insane chemistry for their team's passing attack and have dominated nearly every secondary they've faced.   At 6'2 175, Rivers has great size, serious arm talent, and a terrific understanding of the game- all of which help him carve up defenses across the state. I love how Rivers throws the ball. He's accurate, can push his throws downfield, and does an excellent job finding and hitting his targets in stride- leading to massive plays for his offense."   Rivers completed 267/424 passing attempts for 3947 yards and 36 TDs, with another 2 TDs on the ground as well.   Rivers has some seriously impressive film you can watch below:      [player_tooltip player_id='708429' first='Bobby' last='Coleman Jr.'] is a seriously talented QB out of Central who's currently our #3 QB and #22 overall prospect on our list.   "Coleman has a ton of different impressive talents dnd traits that are already easy to see in his game. He throws a tight spiral, can place great touch underneath his passes, and delivers the ball with a ton of accuracy all over the field.   Coleman is a quick processor and great decision-maker with the ball. He can quickly scan the field to find the open man and does a great job not putting the ball in harm's way. That combined with his athleticism makes him a seriously tough QB to gameplan against."   Coleman lists offers from Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, and plenty of other great programs. It's going to be really exciting seeing him in a full-time role this fall.   Check out some of what Coleman can do, he's a seriously talented QB with a big year ahead:      [player_tooltip player_id='472861' first='Jamison' last='Roberts'] is a talented QB out of Saraland who's coming in as our #5 QB and # 40 overall prospect in the state.   "Roberts has some serious arm talent and throws the ball really well- he has a quick release, plenty of arm strength, and the accuracy to hit his WRs anywhere on the field. Roberts can complete some seriously impressive throws- consistently fitting the ball into tight windows, making tough throws on the run, and taking the tops off of defenses with his ability to push the ball downfield.   Roberts is also really athletic and can make a lot happen with his legs. He's fantastic at avoiding pressure when the pocket collapses and uses his speed and mobility to outrun pass rushers, never putting drives in jeopardy."   Roberts did really well last season, completing 33/43 passing attempts for 491 yards and 9 TDs with no interceptions.   Currently, Roberts lists offers from Troy, Georgia Southern, and Appalachian State. With his talent, I expect that list to grow a ton in the next year.   Check out some of what Roberts did last fall:      [player_tooltip player_id='1610270' first='Kaleb' last='Freeman'] is a dominant passer who put together a huge season at Pleasant Grove last fall, landing himself as our #6 QB and #67 overall prospect in the state.   "Freeman is so hard for defenses to stop- he's excellent at maneuvering through the pocket, is patient scanning the field, and consistently uses his arm talent to throw accurate passes at every level of the field.   Johnson throws at a high velocity and can fit the ball into some tight windows- making impressive hole shot throws over the top and across the middle of the field frequently on tape. What really stands out with Freeman's tape is his quick and dependable processing – he sees the field well and makes quick and correct reads every time he drops back to pass."   Freeman completed 136/200 passing attempts for 2589 yards and 33 TDs and ran for 64 yards and one TD as well.
