2026 MD Rankings Update: Major Ranking Risers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the Updated MD/DC/DE 2026 rankings came out the other week, I take a look at a few top prospects that had big jumps from past rankings to this one. A player who was on my radar during/after the year but really impressed me when I saw him live this spring. A legit 6'2"+ with excellent length, Xavier looks like a prototype CB for today's game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A very fluid played in his backpedal &amp; transitions, Xavier keeps himself in good position to see the ball and make a play on it. He has real speed as well, a track athlete he has a verified 10.82 100M which is tops in the MIAA this spring. With that combination of speed, length athletic ability - Xavier was no doubt P4 kid to me. That was proven true as Xavier just recently made his commitment to Boston College. He is a verified 6'4"+, 288lbs with a 84" wingspan. A player who after the NP camp I felt could be a potential P4 kid, which is why Chris made 50 spot jump in these latest rankings &amp; the #12 overall OL.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is an exert from the article about Christopher's strong performance at National Preps: "<em>With really good feet, he is able to get them up &amp; down quickly, with a nice kick step making it very hard for defenders to beat him around the edge. He improved roughly ~200 spots to being a top 100 player and the #15 overall DB. After getting to see him live and in person at multiple camps this spring he is a no brainer FBS kid to me now. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Looking every bit the part on the hoof at 6'2" and a muscled up 180lbs. -that should become a yoked 190lbs+ once he hits a college weight room program. Tim fits the mold for today's DB and checks a lot of boxes. He has good speed and strong technique. Fluid in his transitions, he has the hips to turn &amp; run with WRs while staying their pocket and then dropping his weight to decelerate to break on the pass. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tim currently holds 3 offers from Howard, Del State and Navy. A physical tank at 6'2" and a slapped together muscled up 240lbs, he certainly stands out on the field. Playing RB and LB this past fall, he looks to transition to an edge rusher at the next level. Kosi plays with great burst &amp; speed-to-power. With active, quick/nimble feet, Kosi excellent mobility &amp; lateral quickness for his size. He shows fluid hips, good bend, active hands, and a high motor. A nice overall athlete as well, he has positional/scheme versatility. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Currently holding just one FCS offer from Bryant, I am sure plenty of schools have him on their board and just waiting on some senior film. This is why he comes in just outside the top 100 at #101 and made an over 100 spot jump in the latest rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">At 6'2"+ and 200lbs he has the frame and body type you look for in a FBS DB. He can play either safety spot and line up all over the field. Athletic and rangy enough to play as a centerfielder, and physical enough to come down in the box &amp; support the run. He comes in as a top 100 player at #87 making an 100 spot jump after making some strong developments as a prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A player that has always had ideal size at a verified 6'5" and 75 3/4" wingspan, Max over the course of the year finally filled out his frame adding the necessary strength to be an FBS kid. Last May he was a 250lbs at the National Preps Showcase, he is now at 285lbs and that's all good muscle as he had a lean frame to begin with. He's an excellent athlete for his size, with good feet and can move/run out in space. Displays a strong punch at POA and engages with the defender and drives. Max finishes blocks and plays through the whistle, finishing plays. Impressive in pass pro as well, he has a nice kick step. Smooth in his motion and able to not over set, sinking and using his athleticism to win versus quick rushes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Holding a handful of FBS/FCS offers after spring, Max made his commitment to UCONN in early June.
