Starting things off with a player who I think is due for a jump in the rankings. Omaha Westside's [player_tooltip player_id='402164' first='Quinton' last='Warren'] is a super instinctive linebacker coming off a great junior season in which he recorded 73 tackles, 12 TFLs, six pass breakups, four interceptions (three pick-sixes), a sack, 78 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown. Warren presents next-level size right off the bat, standing at a solid 6'2" and 220 pounds with great mobility and agility to go with his frame. Quinton's football IQ also stands out immediately, displaying elite instincts and understanding of offensive scheme/route spacing, giving him a leg up when in pass coverage. He has a quick first step that can send him flying downhill once he keys on the run or when he sniffs out RBs screens. Quinton hits like a Mack truck when he gets to his target, using every ounce of his frame to punish his opponent and ensure they go down on impact. Very good ball-hawking skills which you love to see from your linebacker as he takes away the intermediate passing attack with QBs being aware of his presence in the second-level. If you do make the unwise decision to throw to his vicinity and it ends up in Quinton's hands, good luck trying to stop him from finding the endzone. Great range and versatility. Buy stock now!!

Expect a massive season from RB [player_tooltip player_id='487804' first='Jaron' last='Cannon Jr'] who will look to serve as the focal point of the Omaha North offense. Cannon had another excellent season as the Vikings' star back ended his junior year with 1,447 rushing yards, 204 receiving yards, and 21 touchdowns. Jaron possesses a very well-rounded skillset for a running back, using his power to pound away at defenses while also having the agility to make quick, decisive cuts. He plays with a very balanced and strong base that keeps him upright as he takes on contact. Cannon's vision and patience also allow him to wait for his blocks to set up in front of him as he examines the field for the best lane. Great burst through his gap. Cannon's breakaway speed makes him nearly impossible to track down once he finds the open field, and even then, you know he's not going down without a fight. Jaron's skillset also includes great hands out of the backfield and a willingness to pick up defenders in pass protection. Cannon's junior tape had several great clips of him shutting down blitzing LBs as an extra blocker in the backfield. Cannons holds offers from Northwest Missouri State and Wayne State, but should see many more teams come to the table with another strong campaign.

Dundy County-Stratton's [player_tooltip player_id='487755' first='Ethan' last='Latta'] is another player set to rise at the next update. The star 8-man prospect carried the ball 167 times for 1,272 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns while also proving to be a receiving threat with 24 receptions, 507 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns. On top of being an offensive playmaker, Ethan is just as good on defense, where he recorded 69 tackles, seven interceptions (three pick-sixes), four TFLs, and a forced fumble. Personally, I like Ethan's defensive upside and versatility, as he can play safety or utilize his length and athleticism to line up against slot receivers and tight ends as a nickel-type CB. Latta's football IQ and instincts make him a threat to strike from anywhere with his elite ball-hawking abilities. He's very good at flipping his hips to get depth in coverage while maintaining a good eye on the backfield and having the closing speed to attack the ball or fly downhill to defend the run. Great sideline-to-sideline range. Latta's explosiveness with the ball in his hands should also garner offensive looks, possibly at RB or WR. He sees the field extremely well and hits his holes like a rocket, displaying great burst and acceleration that help him reach top speed in a flash. Strong, reliable hands. Ethan holds an offer from McPherson College, but should see that list grow big time with a strong summer cycle.

The Bishop Neumann Cavaliers look to be tough in the trenches again this fall with a solid returning group of linemen. One name to watch for out of that group is senior [player_tooltip player_id='1395758' first='Matt' last='Thulin'], who will be a tone-setter at tackle. Thulin stands out immediately with prototypical next-level size at 6'5" and 275 pounds and great length to his frame. Matt plays with great bend in his hips and has the strength in his base to drive defenders off their spots and into the dirt. Aggressive at the point of attack with powerful hands that stay ready to jab and stun his opponents on impact. Matt does a good job keeping his head on a swivel, making sure to look for more blocks downfield after he's already planted his initial assignment. Good lateral mobility and short area burst with the ability to climb and seal off second-level defenders easily. This is a prospect ready to take off once more coaches catch wind of the Cavaliers' lineman.

Roncalli Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1625494' first='Nate' last='Smith'] is a two-way player who is flying under the radar so far, but that could change with a big senior season. Playing offense and defense, Nate recorded 34 tackles, four fumble recoveries, an interception, eight receptions, 158 receiving yards, and a touchdown. Nate projects well as a safety on defense, where he looks comfortable in pass coverage and when stepping into the box to defend the run. Smith does a good job reading his keys and has the quick trigger to break downhill, or he can flip his hips to drop into his coverage assignment. Disciplined eyes, sharp instincts, and solid closing speed allow Nate to be near the ball consistently. He has a taller frame at 6'1" and looks like he could easily pack on some mass as he continues to develop physically. On offense, I was impressed with Nate's twitchy release coming off the ball and the suddenness in his route running. Solid hidden gem prospect!
