2025 Tennessee Future Stars – 8th Grade Linebacker Selections

This year's Tennessee Future Stars had four different tryout areas around the state, all in an effort to be selected for the prestigious football team. When the smoke settled, there were seven (7) 8th grade (class of 2029) prospects who are labeled specifically as Linebackers on the roster, for the annual border war against Kentucky. This year's 2029 group will attempt to stop the recent Kentucky winning street, as the boys in blue have won the previous three years on the eighth-grade level. Without a further adieu, here are the seven (7) prospects selected.    <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>First time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>West TN Middle School All-Star Selection 2024</li> </ul>   A tough multi-sport athlete (baseball) who had a tremendous 2024-2025 season and school year in Western Tennessee. Starting on both sides of the ball, Lecornu was a big reason for the Golden Tornados finishing 7-0 and outscoring their opponents 202-67. When it counted most, in the championship game, Lecornu finished with six tackles (3 TFL) in a 36-0 thrashing over Hunterdon.     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Is now a two-time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Will be attending Cookeville High School</li> </ul>   In full disclosure, I think of Morton as more of a Running Back than a Linebacker at this point. Nonetheless, the All-Conference selectee had a strong season in 2024, as he ripped through the Upper Cumberland Conference. Morton is the latest Avery Trace Middle School product to earn a spot on the TN Future Stars, following hot 2028 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='423394' first='Koehn' last='Dial'] who starred in the game during his middle school years.     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>First time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Continues the streak of Bellevue Middle School prospects being selected </li> </ul>   An interesting selection as a Linebacker, because all the film I was able to see from this past season were of him as an interior Defensive Tackle. Without knowing if his selection as an LB was a misprint or not, it's not hard to identify that he's a shorter, thicker kid who moves well in short proximity. I'll be interested to see if the TN Future Stars group see him as a MLB that plugs the A gaps, or if they have plans to use him in multiple positions.     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>First time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Attended a Prep Redzone Next Middle School Combine in Jan. 2025</li> </ul>   Like Kenyon Allem listed above, Parris also flirts that line (no pun intended) with the defensive front. The prospect attended the PRZ Next Middle School Combine in Tennessee this past January as a Defensive Lineman, but showed off the athleticism which makes him a bit of a tweener here.     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Is now a two-time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Multi-sport athlete</li> </ul>   For the second consecutive year, [player_tooltip player_id='1683982' first='Louis' last='Germain'] was selected to represent the best of the Volunteer State as a Linebacker. Germain has stretched out a considerable amount since last year's June showdown with Kentucky, shooting up 5 inches and nearly 10 pounds. Germain is an active Middle Linebacker who has shown the ability to fight through blocks and get downhill quickly.     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Is now a three-time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>All-Conference selection in 2024</li> </ul>   Miller is a very impressive prospect out of the Norris Middle School program, which has produced countless Tennessee Future Stars in previous years. While he's selected to play Linebacker for the 8th grade Future Stars, I view him as more of an Athlete. Miller was All-Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference selection this past season for his efforts as a Wide Receiver and his work as a Defensive Back/Linebacker.     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>First time selection for the Tennessee Future Stars</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>One of two (2) Brentwood prospects selected for this year</li> </ul>   Joining his regular seas Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1633607' first='Turner' last='White'] on the 8th Grade TN Future Stars, [player_tooltip player_id='1684001' first='Tolly' last='Boczulak'] is one I'm very interested to see. Our scouts were on hand at the Nashville Future Stars tryout and he was a clear and stand out. Also a talented basketball player, he's a good looking prospect that also runs an 11.8 in the 100m. I truly believe Boczulak could become one of the breakout stars from this game.
