We spent our early Saturday morning at the TrainingHAUS Combine presented by the Minnesota Football Coaches Assoication in Eagan at their beautiful facility and TCO Stadium, the home of the Minnesota Vikings. We also saw over 200 athletes get better, getting a front row seat with testing, Indy, and 1v1 work throughout the morning. We start off our series of content from the TrainingHAUS Combine with the "Best I Saw" that were my standouts in the Offensive Skill groups. It took around 1600 words to log every prospect I saw from this group, showing of the depth this group had.

The quarterback group got a ton of reps on Saturday in Eagan, and the one in my eyes that lead the pack as my nominee for QB MVP was 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1581335' first='Aidan' last='Snow'] from Coon Rapids. As far as footwork and mobility, Aidan showed off the athleticism that he has with his well-versed out of the pocket movement and on that excelled on all three levels. As far as mechanics, Aidan showed off the best mechanics in the group by as the 6'0 180 pounder from Coon Rapids showed the growth thru getting great coaching at camps this spring and taking those skillsets and reps into fruitation. Aidan is certainly a riser in my book in this 2027 class.

The new name that stood out to me as well in the quarterback group was one of several Minneapolis North Polars that cracked my board on Saturday, in 2026 QB Logan Lachmeier. If you watched rep one to his final rep from the TrainingHaus Combine, you surely could see the growth that Logan made in a short time, as a 2026 QB that flashed with his development from an attention to detail perspective. I came away impressed with the athletic mobility Logan carried outside of the pocket with his throws and his throws just about always came in with great balance and ball placement from my eyes. He throw for almost 2500 yards as a junior along with 29 touchdowns and I was super impressed on tape with his deep ball precision. One that we need to get on our radar at PRZ ASAP in this 2026 class.

I didn't get to spend as much time with the running backs, however one that passed my eye test on Saturday in Eagan was 2027 running back Gage Halverson. He showed off what I would assume is one the fastest L-Drills amongst the group recording a 7.29 as just a junior for the Eagan Wildcats. The 6'1 170 pounder plays with quite long strides for the running back position, but you can tell that the athleticism he showed off translates with the agility he has getting to the edges and creates space to get into the open field as he continues to develop on his short area vision in the coming years.

If I dished out an award for WR MVP this weekend at the TrainingHaus Combine, my vote would surely go to Minneapolis North 2027 J'Marion Sanders. He showed off easily one of the most crispest route-runners I saw in the wide receiver group and ran his routes to a T with his excellent agile movement, excellent hands, and constantly showed off sound timing with every rep of routes on air that he ran on Saturday in Eagan. Even the throws that came his way that were just off line, J'Marion made every catch that came his way and had a fluid ability to adjustment his body right on cue to the throw angle that was shown. I could also gauge how damaging this young man can be in the open field as one that you can see how sudden he is with his burst after the catch. With this superb outing and his outing at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase, J'Marion is surely one on the rise in this 2027 class that I wouldn't doubt will have a big summer at camps. He has the college football pedigree in his favor as well, as the little brother of former North WR and current Illinois WR Mario Sanders.

A wide receiver from my neck of the woods that I have been impressed with his development since my last live eval, is [player_tooltip player_id='1489377' first='Jackson' last='Coss'] in the 2026 class out of Buffalo. He has gotten smoother with his release in my eyes at the top of his routes, and I could gauge when Jackson would cut on his routes, that his change of direction has shown growth and it appears to me that there is even more growth incoming from an upside perspective. The 6'2 210 pounder also showed off in my eyes a wide receiver that is figuring out how to use that sizable frame to his advantage especially against smaller defensive backs. I could see it surely in his hands, as Jackson seemed to show more confidence with his hands and body positioning against the defensive backs he went up against. Jackson is one that I feel is more under the radar than he should be in this 2026 class, as his best football to me is up head looking at his upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575634' first='Brody' last='Arnold'], Orono 2027 Twitter

One of the more intriguing 2027 wide receivers that impressed me with their first look with our live eval was [player_tooltip player_id='1575634' first='Brody' last='Arnold'] of Orono. What stood out right away was how well-versed he looked from a ball-tracking perspective, as on one particular route I watched Brody got full grasp of where the ball was coming in at and even in a high traffic area was able to win the rep with his body positioning to make the reception in the end. I also was impressed with Brody as a route-runner, as I could tell the fluidity he brought on his routes and there just was a consistent balance of what he showed off as a route-runner on every rep I got to watch at the TrainingHaus Combine in Eagan on Saturday.

Nabil Alakademe, Coon Rapids 2027

Another new name amongst the offensive skill positions that popped out as a newcomer onto my radar was another 2027 prospect target from the Coon Rapids Cardinals which was Nabil Alakademe. I tell young men all the time, all it takes is one rep to standout to a coach, which was the case with the intriguing rep I watched from Nabil. The 6'0 170 pounder, showed off a physical wide receiver that didn't shy away from a physicality perspective against the secondary, as he utilized he body well to reel in one of the highest traffic catches I saw on the day and also put on display his intriguing catch radius he has for his size. Nabil is a wide receiver that in my eyes has made great leaps since his sophomore season for the Cardinals, showing off a wide receiver with a chip on his shoulder going into his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657478' first='James' last='Crawford'], Brooklyn Center 2027

James was another new name to my radar as a 2027 wide receiver out of Brooklyn Center to know as he progresses. James might not have been the biggest wide receiver out there, but I felt this young man play with good presence and intuition on the routes that I was able to watch on Saturday. He popped out particularly with his ball-tracking ability, which as a WR prospect that I couldn't find tape on yet, I was impressed with how sound he was with that skillset. One that we will have to keep tracking in the coming years as he gets more tape, etc. available.

Yanni Brown, Robbinsdale Cooper 2027

Yanni was a 2027 wide receiver that I couldn't find tape on anywhere as of yet, but had an impressive outing at the Training Haus Combine on Saturday. To be honest, he was one of my favorite wide receivers amongst the 2027 group on Saturday in Eagan, as he showed off as a well-versed route-runner that I thought showed off great hands and caught everything that was thrown his way. As a ball-tracker, Yanni appeared as a wide receiver that had plenty of balance to go along with his change of direction and sudden movement. He is a 2027 prospect that crushed the live eval, however we will have to wait to see what his tape shows off sooner rather than later as an incoming junior at Robbinsdale Cooper.

Brayden Becker, Eden Valley-Watkins 2026 Twitter

I got my first live look at Brayden during the 2024 season, as the Eden Valley-Watkins 2026 wide receiver was in my eyes the best receiver in attendance from the Outstate, and I am kicking myself I didn't get to watch more of his reps cause the ones I got showed off a WR that looks like he can play on Saturdays. The 6'1 175 pounder from the Eagles, showed off longer lower body with the long strides I wanted to see as a WR that has developed nicely as a route-runner since that 2024 live game eval. The athletic length of Brayden also popped out quickly in my eyes when he made his cuts as a wide receiver that has developed a bunch from a technique perspective since the fall season. With the athletic factory they have at EVW, I wouldn't be surprised for Brayden to have himself a great summer on the camp trail as the grade on him from the Training Haus Combine soared up my board.
