Everybody knows the sang "It All Starts Up Front", which especially in the Midwest in the recruiting world that's our bread and butter. We move along into our live evals at the TrainingHAUS Combine on Saturday in Eagan taking a look at the batch of my favorite Hog Mollies in the offensive trenches. These eight showed off the blue-collar skillsets I want to always see in the trenches.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294738' first='Jacob' last='Adam'], East Ridge 2027 Twitter

One of the first offensive linement that got on my radar on Saturday at the TrainingHAUS Combine was [player_tooltip player_id='1294738' first='Jacob' last='Adam'] from East Ridge. The 6'2 240 pound starting right tackle for the Raptors, showed off an OT that had one of the more consistent pad-levels I saw in out of this 2027 group of offensive linemen. It was clear in my eyes, that when this young man gets downhill leverage he can drive into the next level, but what intrigues me from an upside perspective, is how much his frame and strength can grow in the coming years when he needs to pin down the defensive end quickly, as I saw solid strides made from Jacob in reps from start to finish in Eagan on Saturday. The tape and live eval also showed off strong fluidity with his first step and I feel with even more foot-fire to grow Jacob can even get to the point of attack faster. He surely is a 6A offensive tackle that looks like he has great potential to play on Saturdays.

Anthony Palmer Jr., Minneapolis North 2026

Anthony came from the school that I felt make the biggest splash in Minneapolis North at Saturday's TrainingHAUS combine, as the 6'3 320 pounder from the conversations I had had the attention of the college coaches I talked to. He started off his day by getting 14 reps at 225 pounds on the bench press but outside of testing is where I felt Anthony left his biggest mark during the live evals. As you can imagine at his size, this kid has a wide base and on just about every rep he knew how to use it to his advantage as an offensive linemen that I thought had some of the best live reps in this 2026 group. He showed great use of hand placement and what popped out quickly to me too was the length, as I will be curious to find out where his wingspan popped out to be. With his athletic movement in live reps, Anthony showed off well-noted fluidity which I feel surprised the college coaches I talked to being all the size he has at his disposal. The upside to Anthony in my eyes is utilizing his hands to create more balance, but like I said this young man was near perfect on winning rep after rep in Eagan on Saturday. Another area that college coaches are looking in the trenches, is how far young men throw the shotput which Anthony threw nearly 53 feet last year at a meet. He surely should be one that college coaches need to know on the recruiting trail this summer.

Isaac Duis, Delano 2027

Another new name for my eyes in the 2027 class in the offensive trenches was Delano offensive linemen Isaac Duis. The 6'2 225 pounder for the Tigers, benched 225 pounds for 12 reps and in my honest opinion, that number should be heightened in the coming years as I thought he accomplished that with upside with his technique. You don't see too many offensive linemen at that size that run the 4x400 relay, so even though I can't find tape on Isaac that track and Lacrosse background intrigues me from a longevity and upside perspective for Isaac in the future. Looking forward to seeing tape form this young man upcoming as at the moment, he points as a diamond in the rough that you need to "wait and see" on withwhat the tape puts out, but the athletic ability sure looked to be there from the reps I watched in Eagan.

Devin Krahmer, Rush City 2026 Twitter

Devin was one of a couple offensive linemen from the Outstate that made the trip to Eagan that caught my attention in the reps he put up. The 5'11 240 pounder from Rush City, showed off early that he has explosive strength with his arms and hands for his size as during the bench press and live reps he showed off not only the strength but the quickness of getting his hands in position. Another one that is trending under the radar with no posted tape anywhere as of yet but from what I know over the years of scouting Rush City, they always trend in the live games I have watched with plenty of hidden gems in recent years. Devin appears that he could be a senior bloomer in this 2026 class as one to know if you recruit Northern Minnesota.

Smith Boettcher, Stillwater 2027 Twitter

Smith was a first look for me as an offensive linemen that caught my attention in the 2027 class out of Stillwater. I was intrigued by the overall strength this young man brought to the table in his first live look as one a 5'11 235 pounder that didn't just have the strength, he seemed gifted with his athletic base he had from testing down to the live reps I got to watch. Another one that I will put in the "wait and see" category in this 2027 class to see how he progresses from the live reps to the tape as Smith comes off as a OL prospect that plays bigger than his measurables might show you at the given moment from what I saw at the TrainingHAUS Combine in Eagan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648453' first='Wyatt' last='Henderson'], South St. Paul 2027 Twitter

Whenever you see a 6'2 290 pound offensive linemen, you usually don't think their vertical is going to wow you, but that's not the case for 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1648453' first='Wyatt' last='Henderson'] out of South St. Paul. Even as a 2027 prospect, he had the college coaches talking from my conversations, as in the live reps he showed off booming live hands that were built like bricks at the point of attack as the Packers varsity center as a sophomore was well-versed to say the least from a strength perspective. He also shows off the versatility with his hands as one that can angle block, show consistent pad-level and one that I was impressed with his foot speed in the reps I watched. Wyatt also carries over a 4.0 GPA and already has gotten some attention at the Division I which makes sense to why plenty of college coaches were very intrigued by this young man on Saturday at the TrainingHAUS Combine in Eagan as in my eyes he looks like an easy scholarship level target that surely showed he is a riser from Saturday's eval.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581360' first='Hunter' last='Moore'], Irondale 2026 Twitter

If I gave out an award in the trenches for one of the best work ethics I saw on Saturday, my nod would go to Irondale 2026 offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1581360' first='Hunter' last='Moore'] based on the relentless reps I was able to watch. In the testing session, Hunter showed off a football IQ that translates to the next-level early in my eyes, as overall I thought Hunter was quite balanced in every ounce of testing he did. In the later reps, he showed off clinching punches with his hands as a verifed 6'4 270 pound left guard that showed quick recognition with his short area vision and the violence you want to see at the point of attack but also showing balanced footwork as well. I also like the versatility Hunter brings as a run-blocker as there is a sound amount of fluidity in his footwork when getting down to the second level as a pull-blocker when you roll the tape. The game-speed this young man plays certainly amps up levels from what you might see outside of testing.

Dominic Rach, Pine River-Backus 2027

A new name onto my radar that showed off upside in the offensive line group from the Outstate was Dominic Rach of Pine River-Backus. The 2027 offensive linemen displayed some raw traits, but what I liked about this young man was you could tell he was putting in effort despite still grooming his skillsets in the offensive trenches as on the few reps I watched he showed that he has the strength to battle in the trenches, he just needs more coaching as far technique with his hands and how to drive his feet with more fire. I'll be intrigued to keep track of Dominic as he progresses in the coming years in this incoming junior class.
