The NW's Top Defensive Lineup (2028)

Here we take a look at the 2028 class and the best lineup we could put together on each side of the ball within the Northwest. They have a pair of big-time national recruits returning in [player_tooltip player_id='1617792' first='Aedyn' last='Havili'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1003593' first='Tytan' last='McNeal'], both of whom earned 2nd team all-league honors defensively as freshman. [player_tooltip player_id='985350' first='Uzyah' last='Thomas'] leads a talented and deep group of Lincoln lineman who everyone will hear about in the coming months.    Coach Sam Adams has done a phenomenal job at Roosevelt turning the program into a legit contender. He will have one of the best backers in the West returning in [player_tooltip player_id='569908' first='Christopher' last='Ah-Loe']. He was another 2nd team all-league selection, making 80+ tackles with 10 TFLs.    Other contributors as freshman at LB were Washington standouts [player_tooltip player_id='999744' first='Wonderful' last='Glenn'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1339295' first='Chance' last='Hatchett'], along with [player_tooltip player_id='1609803' first='Justice' last='Edmiston'] out of West Albany, OR. Glenn made 70+ tackles for a Timberline program that won 1 game, with Hatchett coming from a high-profile family that everyone knows about.    Edmiston has great size making close to 30 tackles last season, with [player_tooltip player_id='1609595' first='Iden' last='Rule'] looking like the guy at Tualatin who could lead a legit title contender in the years ahead. Bellevue has a legit pair of backers also in [player_tooltip player_id='985351' first='Carmelo' last='Madden'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1335521' first='RJ' last='Ward'].   In the secondary [player_tooltip player_id='984781' first='Markel' last='Newell'] is the real deal showing flashes of Budda Baker, one of the NFL's best DB's and a Washington native. Newell made 30 tackles with multiple INTs as a freshman. [player_tooltip player_id='985348' first='Jayce' last='Halasz'] did his thing at DB as well, making 20+ tackles with 6 PBUS and a INT. Two other all conference returners who are back include [player_tooltip player_id='1335622' first='Mekhi' last='Fields'] of Rainier Beach and [player_tooltip player_id='1615830' first='Cooper' last='Cissne'] of Chiawana.    [player_tooltip player_id='1609758' first='Jake' last='Hamper'] is a kid you will hear a lot about playing for state champ West Linn, OR. He comes from a football family with his brother Mark Hamper now at Cal. Another other prospect climbing the charts quickly is [player_tooltip player_id='985355' first='Amosa' last='Masaniai'] out of Emerald Ridge. He had an incredibly impressive freshman season, earning all-league honors while finishing with 34 tackles and 3 INTs. The film speaks for itself.
