Happy spring rankings update from the staff at Prep Redzone. This is probably my favorite rankings update of the cycle each year, as we've reevaluated several prospects after seeing them in camp settings and caught up on a few players we missed in the last update immediately after the season. We've got a loaded schedule of rankings pieces and we're starting Monday with reports on the 2026 quarterbacks.

This rankings update, I'm doing things a bit differently. Rather than simply telling you which players moved up, I'm going behind-the-scenes to say why they jumped, whether it was a re-evaluation, a camp performance, or something else.

After looking at the QB stock-risers, it's time to hit the 2026 QB New Additions.

East Lincoln has quietly turned into a quarterback factory and Lawless is a late-blooming, fast-rising prospect. He's a guy who should have been in the rankings before now, but we dropped the ball on getting a good look at his film before the last update. He has size and production (Nearly 4,000 yards passing) and the offers are starting to flow for a guy we think could start early at the FCS level.

An East Gaston transfer, Presley had a decent junior season, but really impressed me at our Prep Redzone Combine in Clayton at the beginning of May. He has nice release and throws a catchable ball. It might be too early to know what type of team Hunter Huss will have this season, but we think Presley could make a big jump between his junior and senior season.

Another new quarterback to the rankings, Palisades passer [player_tooltip player_id='1671857' first='Addison' last='Rowland'] is a solid thrower and athletic runner. He's not afraid to push the ball down the field and he loves to throw in rhythm, with little wasted movement at the top of his drops. Given his arm talent and athleticism as a runner, he's a guy who should continue to develop.

Harrison has had a strong offseason of workouts, camp sessions, and track season, as he recently showed off his arm with a school record in the discus. He flashed toward the end of the season last year and is he can improve his accuracy a bit, he could have a really strong senior season for West Cabarrus.

A two-sport athlete at baseball power West Rowan, football is probably Graham's backup plan. Still, he's a solid quarterback who had 18 touchdowns and just seven interceptions last fall. He has the size and the arm strength, and if he decides to focus on football, he's a guy with a good amount of untapped potential.

Though Richardson had an excellent junior season, he hasn't gotten much recognition, at least outside of the area. He's not the biggest quarterback, but he's fearless, a lefty with mobility and eyes that are always downfield. I'd like to see him take fewer hits, but he's a gamer who excels when things break down. Whether or not he plays quarterback at the next level, he's talented enough to contribute to a college team.
