We're well into our breakdowns of the 2026 class after our spring rankings update. If this is your first interaction with the rankings, welcome from the Prep Redzone staff! We have a loaded schedule of rankings pieces that started Monday with reports on the 2026 quarterbacks. Tuesday, I looked at the running backs. Wednesday and Thursday, the receivers and tight ends. To round out the offense this week, we're checking in on the offensive line.

This rankings update, I'm doing things a bit differently. Rather than simply telling you which players moved up, I'm going behind-the-scenes to say why they were added, whether it was an initial evaluation, a camp performance, or simply us being a bit late to the party after a good junior season.

After looking at the OL stock-risers, it's time to hit the 2026 OL New Additions.

2026 OL New Additions

Jefferson is a versatile interior lineman with experience at both guard and center. I like him best as a center due to his size and lateral quickness. He's able to climb to the next level and he's always looking for work. That's a trait college coaches will love and he's a guy I think could rise later in the rankings.

Simpson has some positional versatility, and he's probably a guard at the next level, though a school could give him looks at right tackle as well. I love the way he finishes blocks and he's not afraid to take his man and drive him completely out of the play. There's some room to grow as a pass protector with his hand placement and balance, but he's one of the better run blockers in the area.

Despite being undersized, Craver plays left tackle for Myers Park and his kick step and pass-blocking talent suggest he may be able to stay there at the next level. He's excellent at staying in front of edge rushers and protect his quarterback. He'll need to gain some muscle weight to reach his potential as a run-blocker, but he already shows great technique in the running game.

Terry isn't your traditional offensive lineman, but some team is going to get an excellent player. He plays all five positions, though his height will put him on the inside at the next level. His pad level and balance are excellent, allowing him to bully players, especially when he climbs to the second level. His highlight tape is play after play of him tossing defenders and that's a skill set I'd want on my team.

A long, lengthy lineman, Miller plays guard for Grimsley, but could potentially kick out to tackle. He's grown a lot recently, so he's still adjusting to his height and weight, but the tools are there for him to be a talented lineman. He has good strength and has I'm interested to see how he develops as a senior.

Neal moves remarkably well for a big guard and he's at his best when he gets to pull and clear out a hole. He delivers hits with plenty of pop and I really like the way he gets downfield in the running game. He can drive players back and he'll occasionally stay engaged too long before climbing to the next level, something that's easily correctable and speaks more to his willingness to be physical in the running game.

A huge right tackle in an old-school run-first offense, Gooden's calling card is power. He's at his best when he's firing off the line and clearing the way for his backs. He gets off in a hurry and can drive defenders off the ball. That will translate no matter the scheme. The pass-blocking will come along eventually. For now, the physical profile and run-blocking ability is promising.

Banks has seen his recruiting stock tick up in recent weeks and while some see him as an interior defender, we prefer him as an offensive lineman, capable of driving players off the ball and opening holes for his backs. He's able to block in both gap and zone schemes, and that versatility should serve him well in the future.

After transferring to Southlake Christian, Tedder had a huge junior season, earning all-conference honors as a tackle. He's big and powerful and has a nasty streak, often finishing blocks far down the field. He has the size and he's quick off the ball, firing with power into the teeth of the defense.

Other OL New Additions

We added a few players throughout this process in either our Community Film Room or Deep Dives series.
