Recruiting Report (5/19)- Recent Offers and Commitments

As we head further into the offseason, the recruiting world only keeps moving.   Today, we are highlighting some of the newest offers and commitments across the state- these prospects are killing it on the recruiting trail right now and won't be stopping anytime soon.   As always, check out their tape below- we have so much talent here in Alabama, you won't want to miss these prospects before they're off to the next level!    [player_tooltip player_id='1603640' first='Sammy' last='Dunn'] is a highly talented QB out of Vigor who has seen his recruitment open up a ton in the last year.   "Dunn is an excellent decision-maker who thrives under pressure. He's quick to scan the field, makes good reads, takes care of the ball, and can deliver some beautiful throws on the run.   Dunn has some impressive arm talent- he places a lot of touch underneath his passes and can accurately deliver the ball all over the field, whether it be along the sideline, over the top, or across the middle."   Dunn had an impressive season last fall- recording 52/88 passing attempts for 872 yards and 14 TDs through the air and 16 carries for 48 yards and 3 TDs on the ground.   This morning, Dunn announced that he has committed to Army! It'll be exciting watching him there over the next few years, he's a talented QB with a big senior season ahead this fall.      [player_tooltip player_id='1603673' first='Jai'Vale' last='Fredericks'] is a dominant OL prospect out of Daphne who has seen his recruitment take off this offseason.   "At 6'6 290, Fredericks physically outmatches nearly everyone he lines up against. He has great size and athleticism, can pull and make blocks on the move, and has the strength/power to completely flatten defenders.   Fredericks is seriously impressive in pass protection and can embarrass pass rushers with his counter moves- consistently providing a clean pocket for his QB to work with and not allowing for any pressures/sacks."   Fredericks has had a busy past week, picking up offers from Tulsa, Georgia State, and Louisiana!   I'm looking forward to seeing where Fredericks ends up deciding to go- in the meantime, check out some of his dominant film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1184384' first='Ya'Lin' last='Lee'] is an explosive 2028 RB out of Saraland who really caught our attention with his first-year film.   "Lee is a problem for defenses out of the backfield. He's fast, has great acceleration and twitch, and can create huge runs inside and outside the tackles. Lee also thrives off his physicality- he has great contact balance, can run through defenders, and grinds out every carry he gets.   On top of his physicality, Lee is highly elusive as well. It's near impossible for defenses to bring him down, he's incredibly shifty and can change his direction/make defenders miss effortlessly."   Lee dominated last fall, ending his freshman season with 68 carries for 932 yards, 77 total receiving yards, and 8 total TDs.   Last Friday, Lee announced he had picked up his first offer from Tuskegee University! "Pinto is an explosive threat at every level of the field. At 6'1 185, he's an excellent route runner with a great set of hands and tons of speed out wide. I'm really impressed with how easily and quickly he gains separation- it doesn't matter what route he's running, he can lose defenders in the dust.   Pinto is also extremely tough to tackle after the catch. He does a great job using his speed and twitch to evade defenders and plays through contact to fight for every possible yard before being taken down."   Pinto had a record-breaking season last fall, ending his junior year with 108 catches for 1826 yards.   Pinto has seen his recruitment pick up even more this month- he's picked up offers from Samford, Murray State, and more over the last two weeks.   Watch out for Pinto this fall, he's a talented WR with a huge senior season ahead.      [player_tooltip player_id='1128392' first='Zay' last='Hall'] is a dominant LB/DB out of Hillcrest who had a massive season for their defense last fall.   "Hall is an athletic defender who can seriously hurt offenses in a variety of ways. Hall is dominant against the run- he flies downhill, fills in lanes, and racks up tackles at and behind the line of scrimmage. It's rare to see opposing RBs get into the open field against him, Hall consistently creates huge problems for offenses up front.   Hall is just as effective against the pass, he's a talented blitzer who can provide great coverage all over the field and make plays every down. It's really impressive seeing how well-rounded of a defender Hall is, his future at the high school and collegiate level is really bright."   Hall has seen his recruitment take off this past week, picking up offers from Virginia Tech, James Madison, and Southern Miss!   Check out some of Hall's tape from last season and you'll see why- he's a talented defender with a huge year ahead:      [player_tooltip player_id='1630521' first='Jackson' last='Carlisle'] is a dominant DL out of Central Tuscaloosa who really caught our eye earlier this offseason.   "Carlisle is a force on the line of scrimmage. He explodes off the snap, has quick, violent hands, and can completely overwhelm OL with his size, speed, and strength. It's seriously impressive seeing how Carlisle wins in the trenches- he has a wide variety of moves he uses to get by offensive linemen, and makes it look effortless.   Once in the backfield, Carlisle is terrific at generating pressure, forcing bad decisions, and taking down the quarterback. He also presents a ton of obstacles against the run- he's terrific in pursuit and is a great tackler who doesn't allow for any additional yards after making contact."   Carlisle put together a great season last fall, ending the year with 65 total tackles (35 solo, 5 for loss), 5 sacks, and 6 hurries.   Carlisle has had a busy week on the recruiting trail, picking up offers from Southern Miss, Alcorn State, and Alabama State!
