Kansas continues to be a hotbed for college recruiting.

Three more athletes from the Kansas Class of 2025 recently announced signing with college programs, and four Class of 2026 prospects have collected new offers.

Here is a recruiting update on seven gridiron prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='866495' first='Tyrus' last='Young'], ATH, 6'1”, 200, Salina Central, '25 (Fort Hays State)

Salina Central's Young has committed to play for the Fort Hays State Tigers. Young was the Mustangs' leading tackler last season with 70 tackles. He is a physical ball-hawking middle linebacker who forced three fumbles and recovered another. He can also play tight end, making five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. He could be utilized in the red zone as an end or fullback.

Landon Putman, QB, 5'10”, 175, Salina South, '25 (Kansas Wesleyan)

Putman announced late in April that he has signed with Kansas Wesleyan. He had two seasons throwing for more than 1,200 yards. He threw a total of 25 touchdowns over three seasons. The Salina South Cougar won't have far to travel to play for his hometown Coyotes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115716' first='Abram' last='Keim'], LB, 5'11”, 15, Nemaha Central, '25 (Tabor)

Nemaha Central's top tackler has signed with Tabor. He racked up 166 total tackles last season for the Thunder. He had 140 tackles during his junior season. Keim knows what it takes to play winning football, as he was on two Class 2A State Champion teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='1403609' first='Arley' last='Morrell'], TE, 6'6”, 200, Pratt, ‘26

Morrell is ranked No. 215 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. He has received multiple offers this spring. He recorded 19 receptions for 446 yards for the Greenbacks. He also rushed for 107 yards on 16 carries. He is a short-yardage beast who scored four touchdowns and converted on seven two-point conversions. He has more than six offers from such programs as Oregon State, Marshall, Brown, Tulsa, and Texas State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228884' first='Reece' last='Tolar'], LB/ATH, 6'3”, 190, Cheney, '26

Tolar has received an offer to play at the Division II level with Missouri Southern. Tolar is a fast-flowing linebacker who finished with 61 tackles as a junior for the Cardinals. He recorded two forced fumbles, three pass breakups, and one interception. He has solid instincts and plays solid pass coverage. I have a suspicious feeling that this won't be the only offer from a Division II school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228897' first='Nolan' last='Durr'], Edge/TE, 6'4”, 230, Cheney, ‘26

Tolar is not the only Cheney prospect to get an offer from Missouri Southern. Durr, a dangerous defensive end, also grabbed an offer from the Lions' coaching staff. Durr finished his junior season with 55 tackles. He has dangerous speed and can disrupt a backfield, He recorded six quarterback sacks, nine tackles for lost yardage, and 13 hurries during his junior campaign. He is ranked No. 47 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1402693' first='Mason' last='Barth'], OL/DL, 6'1”, 285, Shawnee Mission Northwest, ‘26

Barth is a physical lineman who is built to play on the interior. He recently announced receiving an offer from the Friends Falcons. He can play center or guard. He is a bulldozer as a run blocker. Offensive line is where is future is. He is currently ranked No. 141 overall and is the No. 15-ranked offensive lineman in the Kansas Class of 2026.
