The Prep Redzone Next Combine series made their annual stop in Oklahoma and we had some of Oklahoma's up and coming talent come out and shine. And taking a look at some of the middle school talent coming up, it should come as no surprise with some of the programs that were highlighted. Rising communities like Bixby, Deer Creek and Mustang all had players performing very well. Following the camp, we announced the MVPs for each position group. In this post, we're putting the spotlight on those six players, breaking down what made them stand out throughout the afternoon in Jenks!

[player_tooltip player_id='1147971' first='Brayden' last='Hubbard'] - 2029 Running Back - Deer Creek

It's ironic that Deer Creek's [player_tooltip player_id='1147971' first='Brayden' last='Hubbard'] leads off this breakdown but it's strictly done alphabetically, but if we were to rank the MVPs from the camp, Hubbard would still be at the top of the list. Hubbard was absolutely dominant from start to finish. It started with the testing portion of the camp as he ran the fastest 40 time and one of the fastest 40 times of the day when you combined the middle schoolers and high schoolers. Hubbard then proceeded to absolutely dominate during the individual drills and then into the 1 on 1 portion of the camp. He was without a doubt the top guy at his position group and in our opinion, he was the top guy of the middle school camp in general. Hubbard could end up being a big name to know down the line if this weekend was any indication of his ceiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1658114' first='Bryson' last='Bell'] - 2029 Offensive Lineman - Oklahoma City

Whenever we do these middle school camps, you'll always immediately notice some prospects who already appear ready to go to work in the high school ranks. 2029 lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1658114' first='Bryson' last='Bell'] was one of those prospects on Sunday afternoon. Talking with Bell before the camp, it appears that he's headed to 5A powerhouse Carl Albert. Bell was also listed as a defensive lineman and while he got work on both sides of the line of scrimmage, he was named the OL MVP for the camp. And honestly, he could have been named MVP for either side but we were impressed with his ability to get out of his stance in a hurry. That will suit him well for either side of the line of scrimmage. Bell was one of the players we had circled before the event began and he immediately backed up the hype.

[player_tooltip player_id='1608672' first='Dash' last='Agustin-Gaines'] - 2029 Defensive Back - Deer Creek

Another future Deer Creek Antler and another player that was listed at one position but ended up shining at another. 2029 [player_tooltip player_id='1608672' first='Dash' last='Agustin-Gaines'] was listed as a wide receiver but would walk away with MVP honors for his work as a defensive back. Like several players on this breakdown, Agustin-Gaines would really play well on both sides of the ball but the coaches in attendance liked his work on defense. Agustin-Gaines impressed us a handful of times and it started with the testing portion of the camp and it only continued from there. The future Deer Creek Antler was ready to work on Sunday afternoon and that definitely showed with his ability to make plays on offense but then turn around and put in that work on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1671110' first='Jordan' last='McFarlin'] - 2030 Wide Receiver - Bixby

The first of two Bixby Spartans that absolutely dominated on Sunday was 2030 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1671110' first='Jordan' last='McFarlin'] and he in particular was right there with Hubbard as one of the more dominant players in the camp in general. We didn't get a chance to watch every single rep that McFarlin had throughout the camp but it felt like every rep we did see, he was winning. Whether it was beating his man off the line with ease or making a spectacular catch in a 1 on 1 setting, McFarlin did a little bit of everything throughout the afternoon. He impressed us throughout the camp, his coaches throughout the camp and that was more than enough to earn him MVP honors for the wide receiver group. He's definitely off to a great start and trending in the right direction.

[player_tooltip player_id='1672584' first='Kaden' last='Drumm'] - 2031 Quarterback - Mustang

Everybody wants to be a quarterback. This is the case at every camp where our greatest numbers are at the quarterback position. So standing out in that group is definitely a big plus and that's exactly what Mustang 2031 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1672584' first='Kaden' last='Drumm'] did on Sunday afternoon. Drumm did incredibly well during the drills and then specifically in 1 on 1's. The coaches working with Drumm were quick to point him out as one of the top quarterbacks in the group. He was efficient and was making some really good throws throughout the afternoon. Drumm is a quarterback that we've had a chance to see three times now this offseason when you also throw in a pair of 7v7 tournaments and based on what we've seen, he's shown steady improvement each time out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1676327' first='Zander' last='Reynolds'] - 2029 Defensive Lineman - Bixby

Bixby 2029 defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1676327' first='Zander' last='Reynolds'] is our final MVP from the middle school camp and he went to work on the line of scrimmage on defense. Reynolds appears to be another future Bixby Spartan that will cause absolute disruption in the middle of that line of scrimmage. The OL/DL group was one of the smaller groups so these guys got constant work throughout the afternoon. Reynolds already has several power moves that gives him an edge against most offensive linemen. The young Bixby bull has already impressed us while going through drills and 1 on 1's so he passed our eye test but then after talking with some of the coaches working with him, they backed up everything that we saw during the afternoon.
