He found success with practically every route. Ball skills were a bit hard to evaluate because the passes thrown weren't the most accurate, but I've seen enough of Braylon to know he has good hands and can do damage after the catch. Has consistently been a MAC prosepct in my opinion for the past 3 years- that still has not changed!

Torrence was able to catch the attention of a few college coaches.

For starters, Torrence passes the eye test with flying colors. He's 6'3" and has athletic upside.
During the pre-competition drills, Torrence showed off his arm, throwing a ton of accurate passes to stationary receivers. Plus, he showed off a quick, snappy release. Come competition time, I thought Torrence was the most accurate passer. Especially when throwing within 15 yards, I loved Torrence's throw power. Great job from Torrence, and I would not be surprised if he gets significant MIAA attention.

A young southpaw with a great foundation!

The thing I loved most about Jamari's game was his footwork. Jamari has quick feet and is able to move effectively in the pocket. When it comes to his release, Jamari's footwork needs work. Otherwise, Jamari has fast feet. As Jamari continues to mature, his consistency should only improve.

Raw in a lot of areas, but also great upside. Earlier in the article, I alluded to some passes not being accurate. Most receivers watched balls sail over their head and generally didn't have the effort or ability to catch errant throws. On the other hand, Gregory climbed the ladder and made a few amazing catches. On two occasions, I watched Gregory climb the ladder and go full-extension to make a catch.

Good body control and hands are rare for any high school wide receiver. I don't think Gregory has the athleticism to be a D1 prospect right now, but that's not saying he can't get there.

Another great receiver!

Simply put, Omari was quick, twitchy, ran good routes, and caught every decent pass thrown his way. I noted above-average change of direction during the pre-competition drills, and good straight-line speed during 1on1s. Cortney has the size, has the athleticism, and flashed very quick, violent hands.

When Cortney won, he won big. On several occasions, Cortney was able to quickly swipe or club the opposing lineman's hands away and earn a quick win. On a few instances, Cortney's initial move didn't succeed, but he was able to power ahead against flat-footed linemen. He admitted it himself, but Cortney does still need to work on his pad level. I would also like to see a more consistent getoff and better bend.

A very high-upside defensive lineman. Can play DE or bulk up and play on the interior. Plus, he's a smart player who knows exactly what he needs to do in order to improve. I like his upside at the next level!

The MHSAA Detroit Camp was a tad smaller than the others, but the talent was top-end. Here are six great standouts from the camp! Watch out for shoutouts and clips of these players on my Twitter in the coming week!
