About Greg
Expert Analysis

Greg probably gets overlooked by most, but he has started to land himself on the radars of college coaches, even earning an SEC offer over the summer. He’s quick, he’s springy and has the ball skills to go up and get any jump ball sent his way. Through contact and traffic, his concentration never waivers, allowing him to secure some incredibly difficult catches. This could be a massive offseason for him and a chance to earn a few more offers along the way. Well deserved spot inside of our top 5.

Underrated no more.
Greg was a massive standout at the MHSAA camp in Detroit. The most prominent aspect that made Greg stand out was his catch radius and all-around ability to catch the ball in tight traffic. The quarterback play at this camp wasn’t great, which actually worked in Greg’s favor becuase he was able to showcase some phenomenal body control, vertical, and hands.
Watch out for Greg this season. If a ball is remotely catchable, he’s coming down with it.

The #1 discovery of the offseason. I’m happy to have gotten an in-person look at Greg Pope. At the time, he was completely under the radar. Since my in-person evaluation at the MHSAA Showcase in Detroit, Greg has earned an offer from Arkansas.
I say this a lot, but ball skills matter. You can do everything else correctly, but if you don’t have ball skills, you won’t be getting many calls. Time after time, I watched Greg climb the ladder and snag difficult-to-catch balls. On top of that, he can play some DB, too.
