Evaluating the eight-player game can be difficult. It would be foolish to not do so, however, with the wealth of talent performing in this class. Munyakazi is one of those student-athletes. His junior highlight video reveals a talent capable of helping programs on the next level. As a defensive back, the eight-player level accentuates his ability to cover in space and stick with receivers in man-to-man. His back pedal is smooth as are his hip movements and change-of-direction. Munyakazi flashes potential on the other side of the ball, too, where he makes people miss with quickness and speed. He rushed for 229 yards and a touchdown, caught a score, delivered 33.5 tackles, picked off a pass and returned punts as a junior last season.

The Hawks reached the postseason last year with Spooner playing a prominent role in the success. As a junior, he shined on defense with 32.5 tackles (23 solo, 9.5 TFL) and 2.5 sacks. He chipped in eight catches for 159 yards and a two-point conversion as well. Spooner's 11th-grade highlight video shows us the versatile student-athlete the statistics suggest. He diagnoses plays quickly, getting a pre-snap read and then adjusting with how the play unfolds. Spooner is fast to the football, while also playing with good balance and within the defensive scheme. He could work at multiple positions depending on system and be an asset on special teams.

During a difficult 2024 season for the Bloodhounds, Nesheim stood out for his positive performance when we analyze his highlight video. He's a tough defender that embraces the game's physicality. He also brings that style to special teams, where he's an asset. Nesheim is comfortable on the outside at linebacker, where he can sniff out the run and drop the ball carrier or lock up with a tight end in coverage. He shows a good feel for playing zone, where he carries out his assignment and is connected with his teammates.

Operating on the eight-player level, it's not hard projecting how Reineke would perform with 11 people on each side of the ball. We see a high-motor linebacker when watching his junior highlight video. He flies to the football, but does so with balance and control. The Bulldogs line him up on the middle of the defense's second level, where he diagnoses what he sees and flows well to the football. While his strength is stopping the run, he's athletic enough to run with opponents in coverage. Last season, Reineke recorded 48.0 tackles (31 solo, 8.0 TFL), 3.0 sacks and an interception. He also caught eight passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.

Larson shined as a junior in 2024 for a program that features a host of talented student-athletes. The Lions reached the postseason again with him registering 37.5 tackles (24 solo, 5.0 TFL), a sack, an interception and a fumble recovery. Larson looks the part of a college defender when we pop on his 11th-grade highlight video. That's because his versatility makes him viable in different schemes. Larson's long arms aid him as do his athleticism and speed. He makes quick decisions and flashes to the football. His frame his such that it can add plenty of good weight and strength. Larson is one on which scouts should keep a close eye this fall.

Amstrong was a problem for opposing offenses in 2024. The junior lineman piled up 41.5 tackles (31 solo, 4.0 TFL) with 3.0 sacks for one of the state's historically strong programs. Armstrong shows us how he gets the job done on his 11th-grade highlight video. The all-district defensive lineman regularly provides a positive push beginning with a good get-off on the snap. Armstrong is strong up top through his lower body. He does get a little upright at times and could benefit from focusing on consistency with his pad level. He'll be a captain as a senior this fall and looks poised to dominate during games.
