Coming off a shocking loss to Hudson, the Knights looked to recover on the road against a rebuilding Sailors' unit. However, the Sailors' defense played well, causing issues for QB Caden Sorensen as they were able to slow them down for most of the night. The Knights tied the game at 13 in the 4th, but the Sailors were able to drive into Knights' territory before being forced to take a 35 yard field goal attempt with 21 seconds left. The kick sailed left before drifting through the goal posts, leading to confusion between the officials over whether the kick was made. However, a late roughing-the-kicker call was enforced, giving the Sailors a new set of downs, in which they immediately responded with a game-winning touchdown pass with 15 seconds to go. The win is the Sailors first against Union Community since 2007 as they've shown an impressive rebound following a 1-7-1 record last season.

Pocahontas Area has been in some close games this season, and they contested well in a rivalry matchup against East Sac County. The Raiders emerged ahead with a 16-6 lead at halftime, but the Indians rallied with a second half comeback, outscoring the Raiders 22-12 in the second half. The Indians were able to score with under a minute and a half to go to cut the deficit to 2, but their ensuing 2-point conversion attempt was stuffed a full yard short of the goal line, with their ensuing onside kick attempt shooting too far down the field, allowing the Raiders to recover and run out the clock. The Raiders won their second straight matchup against the Indians as they look to round out their season by finishing at .500.

Coming off their first win of the season last week against Aplington-Parkersburg, Jesup looked to add another on the road against the Cougars, who were looking for their first win of the season. The Cougars were able to build a 20-14 lead at halftime, thanks in part to an inconsistent performance from Jesup's offense, being limited to just 29 total rushing yards while hitting less than half of their passes, resulting in 2 interceptions. However, Jesup continued relying on airing out the ball, in which they were ultimately able to connect on a pair of big TDs, allowing the J-Hawks to score 13 unanswered points in the second half. The win for Jesup is their first over the Cougars since 2015 in a previously one-sided rivalry.
