The state has plenty to offer in its 2026 Class.

Here's a half dozen uncommitted dudes that could raise the level of a college roster:

Smith meets the measurements desired for linemen. He looks the part on film, too, his junior highlight video serving as evidence. Smith's power and commitment to playing through the whistle wins him a lot of battles. He moves well, allowing him to reach blocks in space and while pulling. Smith can get a little upright in his stance, which compromises balance. If he can consistently lower his pad level, Smith can take another step forward. Considering where he is already, that's saying something.

Pena isn't among the biggest guys when he steps on the field, but he does rank high in production. As a junior in 2024, Pena rushed for 366 yards and five touchdowns, caught 10 passes for 96 yards, delivered 45.0 tackles (35 solo, 7.5 TFL), a sack and fumble recovery. He even returned a pair of kickoffs. That's a whole lot of work in the state's largest classification of schools. Pena is a versatile defender capable of lining up in the box and stuffing the run or setting up in the slot to cover receivers. Sometimes, he comes off of the edge. That toughness and athleticism also plays on offense.

Favors did a little bit of everything for the Crusaders last season. He ran for 234 yards and two touchdowns as a backup running back. Favors also posted 16.5 tackles (13 solo, 1.0 TFL) and a sack. He even returned a couple of kicks. With graduation losses, Favors should step into a bigger role when healthy in 2025. You can witness his ability to handle that when watching his junior highlight video. The first few clips provide evidence that he can be an impactful running back. He brings size and speed to the battle. Later on in the film, we see a versatile defender capable of blasting off of the edge and chasing down the quarterback or crashing down on the run.

The bucket of bright spots at Burlington was light last season, but McAllister was one of them. His junior highlight video provides a glimpse into his work on both sides of the ball. McAllister is a nimble interior offensive lineman adept at mauling individuals in tight quarters or picking them off on the move. He's always physical. McAllister is equally impressive at defensive tackle, where his athleticism and power play very well. He's quick off of the snap and capable of running down the ball. McAllister is one to watch in 2025.

Heick produced on a high level for one of the state's better defenses in 2024. He piled up 64.0 tackles, the second most among Little Hawks. Forty eight of the stops were of the solo variety. Heick had 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Athleticism stands out when watching his junior highlight video. Heick flies to the football and arrives quickly. He diagnoses plays, helping shift teammates pre-snap. Heick is capable of running with receivers and tight ends. He can chase down quarterbacks. With the frame capable of adding size and strength without losing the present assets, Heick has plenty of room to go before reaching his ceiling.

In a junior season that was limited on a team with a talented group of skill players, Dunagan flashed promise during his junior highlight video. He looks natural playing receiver, where he caught eight balls for 80 yards and a touchdown in 2024. Dunagan works well out of the slot and thrives at making opponents miss in space. He also can beat defenders lining up outside and flying by them. Dunagan added a couple of solo tackles during his two games on defense. He's also someone that can contribute on special teams with his set of skills.
