Despite Crosby-Ironton's struggles over the last few seasons, the Rangers uncovered a diamond last season with the emergence of [player_tooltip player_id='1397399' first='Jacob' last='English'] as a DE/TE hybrid. English caught our attention during the offseason with his testing performance at our combine series event in April, posting a 7'10" broad jump, a 5.25 40 yard time, and being listed with an impressive 75" wingspan. In limited varsity appearances, English did an excellent job winning leverage on the inside and using his length to get his hands on the blocker first. On the offensive side, English has solid footwork, and he excelled at jamming defenders at the line before going out for a checkdown pass. English could very well become a game-changer for this Rangers' team to build around over the next few years to bring them back into contention.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654583' first='Bo' last='Sanford'] saw plenty of varsity reps at QB for Aitkin last season, and he's in a good position to win the starting job outright in 2025. Sanford is impressively athletic, and he operated best when out of the pocket. While his accuracy was a bit erratic at times during his freshman year, Sanford had several really nice throws that had enough arc and distance to get behind the secondary to find his receiver in stride. Sanford is a great scrambler with quick speed around the edge, and his athleticism also translated well taking reps as a return specialist last season. If Sanford can improve on his accuracy going forward, he should cement his status next season as one of the top ranked QBs in Minnesota for the class of 2028.

NRHEG has one of the most impressive classes across Class 2A with 6 players from the team being listed among our ranking system. [player_tooltip player_id='1370533' first='Sean' last='Lassahn'] scored the highest rank of the group currently, emerging as a viable RB/LB prospect. Lassahn has flashy speed running the ball, showing a quick burst upon receiving the carry and showing great agility and top-end speed around the edge. At LB, Lassahn does an excellent job knowing when to attack, using his size and speed to fit through smaller gaps, and making strong efforts to stop the play, even when the ball is on the other side of the line of scrimmage. Lassahn should see a much bigger role for NRHEG on both sides of the ball next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1396487' first='Corey' last='Seedorf'] is ranked second among the NRHEG class of 28', and while his film is currently limited in length, Seedorf managed to show plenty of upside to earn a top-10 ranking among the defensive-linemen in this class. Seedorf showed solid leverage in the run-game, showing great footwork through tight space and quick lateral movement to crash into the ball-carrier. Seedorf has a longer lower body and legs, and if he builds some mass on the lower body this offseason, it could really improve on his strength and balance in the trenches to make him a premium run-stopper. NRHEG will be a team to watch going forward with how much potential they have out of their younger prospects.

While [player_tooltip player_id='1652558' first='Kollin' last='Brennan'] didn't see any playing time during Jackson County Central's run to the Class 2A state championship last season, Brennan's size and athleticism could make him a fruitful developmental project for this defense. Brennan's athletic ability was on display for his track team, as he competed in several sprint, relay, and long jump competitions, posting a 13.54 100 meter dash and 14' 7.5" long jump personal bests during the year. Brennan is a raw athlete who will need time to hone his ability to become a leader at the second level of the defense, but Brennan's frame has the makings of a potential FBS prospect, and he's my wild-card pick to have a breakout in this conference next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654635' first='TJ' last='Kyyra'] saw plenty of reps during his freshman year playing for a loaded backfield, and he proved to run the ball quite effectively for Cannon Falls. Kyyra ran for 378 yards on just 44 carries and 2 touchdowns, with his average of 8.6 yards per carry ranking 2nd best on the team. Kyyra is listed as a fullback, and he runs like a train, bursting through lanes and lowering the shoulder to ram through defenders. Kyyra has solid vision in finding the open gaps and a sneaky amount of speed in the open field. His strength should not be ignored, as he's already posted some strong numbers, including a 325 lb squat and 315 lb deadlift. Kyyra should continue to seep more carries as he looks to take a step toward being at the forefront of Cannon Falls' offense in 2025.
