Now that I'm finally back in North Carolina, we can go a bit deeper with our coverage. I'm going to drop top player lists by position for some of the counties around me in the Raleigh-Durham area, much like Matt Morrow has done in Charlotte. In these articles, we will share why these players are ranked and their best attributes as potential college-level football players in their respective futures.

Most of the teams in Durham and Orange Counties are run-heavy, meaning these guys might not have elite statistics. Still, the top Durham/Orange County WRs have some talent.

Jordan loves to run the ball, but Young provides a deep threat over the top. Last year, he averaged 24 yards a catch, scoring eight touchdowns on just 22 receptions while sharing the field with another primary target. Young is now the guy on the outside for the Falcons, so this could be a huge year for the rising senior.

Mayo is a do-it-all athlete for Northern Durham, leading the team in both rushing and receiving as a sophomore. He lines up all over the field and most of his work is after the catch. Still, despite rarely being targeted deep down the field, he averaged 16 yards a catch last season for the Knights.

Griffin is an excellent athlete and gadget guy for Riverside's offense, and he played excellent down the stretch, racking up half of his catches and well over half of his season yardage in the final three games. Though he's on the smaller side, he's tough to bring down. He should have plenty of opportunities to get the ball as a junior.

Bonner isn't a true receiver -- no one in in Hillside's Wing T -- but he has high-level receiving skills. He's a do-it-all slotback who only got about 20 offensive touches last season. However, he scored four times, and in three different ways, hauling in two receiving touchdowns on his four catches, scoring as a runner, and returning a kickoff to the house. In a different offense, he'd be a 50-catch guy. For Hillside, he's a high-upside athlete who could fill the void left by a strong senior class.

If you're looking for a true breakout candidate this season, look no further than Lea. He went as Riverside's quarterback play went last season, but with the Pirates looking better under center this year, he could have a huge season. He's reshaped his body and could play nearly 25 pounds heavier this season than he did last year, giving him some real size to go with his playmaking ability.
