Zachary Youso has been a surprisingly overlooked prospect despite having one of the most productive seasons of any player I saw coming out of International Falls last season. Playing at WR and LB, Youso ranked 2nd in Class 2A in receptions (41), and 3rd in receiving yards (532) while scoring 6 touchdowns. He also recorded 115 tackles, 8 TFLs, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 interceptions on defense. Youso was normally lined up in the slot last season, and he excelled with great instincts and solid route running that allowed him to find space at all three levels of the defense. Youso is an excellent bubble-screen option who can make plays after the catch, and as a deeper option, he tracks the ball very well and is agile enough to twist his body around to adjust to the ball. Youso deserves more credit than he's been getting, and he will be a big problem on both sides of the ball next season.

Norwood has built themselves back into a powerhouse over the last 3 seasons, and they found another very much underrated prospect emerging as a playmaker in [player_tooltip player_id='1688597' first='Brayden' last='Dent']. Dent finished 2024 with 497 yards on 28 catches and 5 touchdowns. With a 4.56 40 yard time, Dent is a speedster, and he's proven very well when he gets an open lane to run through, he will zoom through it and past the defenders in a whiff. Dent has solid footwork, does a good job at spacing his routes, and isn't afraid to catch through contact. Dent works as a YAC-receiver, a deep threat, and he also provides value as a return specialist. Dent's speed and playmaking ability should shine brightly during his senior season.

Returning to International Falls, [player_tooltip player_id='591750' first='Carter' last='Line'] is a viable No. 2 option for their passing game who has the skills to fit in potentially as a No. 1 WR at the next level. Line finished with 458 yards on 26 catches and 5 touchdowns last season. Line works more as an outside WR who can play well in 1-on-1 matchups. Line has impressive top-end speed that can beat a CB deep on the outside as well as the size and vertical jump ability to leap and make a spectacular catch over the defender. Line excelled often on go-routes, but flashed well with his short-medium horizontal routes as well, making sharp cuts on his breaks, and doing a great job at adjusting for the ball. Line has enough talent to translate his skills well into the next level, and he should continue to gain a lot more targets for International Falls next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648558' first='Carter' last='Olson'] has garnered plenty of attention as a swiss-army knife for Randolph. Offensively, Olson caught 26 passes for 418 yards and 5 touchdowns while rushing for 662 yards and 7 touchdowns, averaging 6.8 yards per carry. Olson's role is unique, as he often took carries as a HB, but he also lined out in the slot running routes. Olson has dangerous speed that makes him easily capable of outrunning defenders without really even trying. Stemming from his ball-carrying skills, Olson has great vision and instincts in his route-running, creating space to get open deep, and using his speed to burn the defense after the catch. Olson is an all-purpose player who will help Randolph continue to generate noise as a dark-horse contender among the Class 2A group in 2025.

Pairing with Olson in Randolph's passing game is [player_tooltip player_id='1256229' first='Carson' last='Lorenzen'], a looming WR who's been difficult to match up with on the outside. Lorenzen caught 20 passes for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. Lorenzen's size is already difficult to work against, but his sharp footwork and impressive twitch shows that he is a very capable route-runner who can win 1-on-1 not just with his length. Lorenzen works well on comeback routes, while also winning on inside routes, showing solid speed that allows him to get to the ball first to win the rep. Lorenzen deserves props for matching his tall frame with effective mechanics, and he's proving to be a big-bodied WR worth investing in going forward.
