A tall looming athlete with sharp route-running ability, Carson Lorenzen Carson Lorenzen 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Randolph | 2026 State MN is an anomaly among big-bodied WR prospects. Lorenzen caught 20 passes for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. Lorenzen’s footwork and cuts are well-maneuvered for his size, and the combination of his route-running and length allowed him to put himself in perfect position for several sideline passes and catches through contact. His size allows him to dominate easily on the outside against 1-on-1 coverage, making him a dangerous redzone threat as well. Lorenzen’s role in the passing game for Randolph should expand in 2025, and he should see an influx of targets heading his way this season.

Pairing with Olson in Randolph’s passing game is Carson Lorenzen Carson Lorenzen 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Randolph | 2026 State MN , a looming WR who’s been difficult to match up with on the outside. Lorenzen caught 20 passes for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. Lorenzen’s size is already difficult to work against, but his sharp footwork and impressive twitch shows that he is a very capable route-runner who can win 1-on-1 not just with his length. Lorenzen works well on comeback routes, while also winning on inside routes, showing solid speed that allows him to get to the ball first to win the rep. Lorenzen deserves props for matching his tall frame with effective mechanics, and he’s proving to be a big-bodied WR worth investing in going forward.

For all the size Carson has at his disposal, I was impressed on tape with how much balance this kid has around the sidelines with his footwork and awareness. You can tell Carson is a WR prospect that constantly carries the field awarness especially with finding the first down markers easily as a wide receiver that shows off some pure athleticsm. He can develop more twitch with his cuts to the inside of the field, but the fluidity sticks out as an XL wide receiver that college coaches should have on their radar.

No college program in their right mind is going to say no to an athletic 6’3, 190 lb. WR and stud hooper. Well, meet Randolph’s Carson Lorenzen Carson Lorenzen 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR Randolph | 2026 State MN , one of the biggest mysteries in the state who is now reporting to measure in at around 6’5, up a couple inches from his sophomore season with the Class AA Rockets. Lorenzen has been a well-known name to PRzMN for quite a while now, showing the most promise of Randolph’s excellent 2026 class of football talent, but it seems the older he gets the less we know/learn about him. Lorenzen, according to MNFootballHub, totaled 20 catches for 333 yards and 5 TDs, and his Hudl reports a 29″ vert, 4.8 40, and 225 lb. clean, numbers that, like his height/weight/length, I’d love to verify and see in person. He’s been averaging 8.4 PPG, 9.3 RPG, and 2 APG on the hardcourt this winter, but hasn’t been playing full-time, perhaps due to injury, adding to the mystique and list of unknowns surrounding him. Additionally, he has less than two minutes of junior season footage publicly available, but in it, you can see that Lorenzen is a long-strider who accelerates out of his breaks well and owns strong hands that can reel in receptions out of the air and away from his body. He can finish catches in traffic and through tight coverage + big oncoming hits, is smooth at the top of the route, can take the top off the defense and track the deep ball well, and owns a big catch radius. Seems like a legit multi-sport prospect, but man, we gotta see this kid in person. Make sure you stop by Randolph in the 2026 cycle, coaches!

The Randolph Rockets, located in between Northfield and Cannon Falls, are early on showing one of the best 2026 classes in Outstate Minnesota. So far, there are three main names to know, one of whom we’ll be covering in this feature. Coming off a 4-6 record in 2023, the Rockets, with their talented 2026 class one year older, wiser, and stronger, are poised to make some noise in Section 4AA and maybe Class AA overall, but do it, they’ll need a big contribution from 6’3, 190 lb. WR Carson Lorenzen. With great size and an accomplished basketball background, Lorenzen puts both to good use using his big frame and long arms to create a large catch radius and show off a knack for contested catches and 50/50 balls. The 190 lber. also tracks and plays the ball well in the air, can make catches in traffic, and isn’t scared to go over the middle. Lorenzen is a big-time red zone and a 1-on-1 matchup nightmare for Southern Minnesota DCs. Big year for the Rockets.
