[player_tooltip player_id='1666356' first='Isaac' last='Fredin'] was one of the top targets from Springfield's highly productive passing offense last season, and he's slated to become the Tigers' No. 1 WR in 2025. Fredin led Class 1A last season in receptions with 60, finishing with 568 yards and 10 touchdowns. Fredin fits the mold of a possession receiver, and Springfield does a great job getting him the ball in different ways. Fredin is an excellent short-medium route runner, and he works especially well on jet motion plays, though he has also proven capable of burning the secondary over the middle to stretch the field. Fredin isn't afraid to make a block down the field to open a lane for the ball-carrier, and he does a great job improvising on the route to adjust to his QB. Fredin is a viable slot WR who should continue to get a large share of touches next season for Springfield's offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255896' first='Tanner' last='Stech'] has been a bona fide all purpose player for Mahonmen-Waubun. Offensively, Stech finished with 337 yards on 18 receptions and 5 touchdowns, while rushing for 312 yards and 5 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 6.8 yards per carry. Stech also recorded 3 interceptions on the secondary and serves as the primary placekicker for the Thunderbirds. Stech may have not received many reps exclusively at WR with so much on his plate, but his reps that he did receive look very promising. Stech has the size, footwork, and agility to win in 1-on-1 matchups, while also showing plenty of speed to burn defenders for the deep ball. Stech's value undoubtedly makes him an entertaining player to watch, and he could easily find a role as an impact player at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1648572' first='Joshua' last='Potts'] is a very intriguing prospect who doesn't currently have game film, but an impressive amount of athletic potential. Potts' testing numbers are impressive, including a 4.61 40 yard time, a 295 lb max squat, a 26.8" vertical jump, and a 325 lb max deadlift which suits him as a viable D2 prospect. Potts' film from the team's scrimmage last season showcases sharp blocking, attacking well at the point of contact, and using his hands well against DBs to gain separation on routes. Potts will likely see playing time in 2025, and it will be interesting to see how these traits on film and in testing translate during game-time, but a big year could really see Potts' stock surge based upon the potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679105' first='Tanner' last='Simonette'] is another interesting name who lacks film, but Simonette has made an impact for Cleveland's offense as a reliable target in the passing game. Simonette caught 25 passes for 239 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. Simonette's size may be better suited as a WR than at TE, though he holds his own with solid strength, stemming from a 355 lb max squat and 225 lb max bench that could easily see him excel on the outside in 1-on-1 matchups. Simonette should see more targets next season, and hopefully with that, we will be able to capture more of Simonette's progression as an underrated WR/TE prospect.

Returning to Springfield, we bring our attention to top athlete prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1288305' first='Aiden' last='Moriarty']. While his primary position is at DE, Moriarty still had plenty of production last season in Springfield's passing game as a TE, finishing with 28 receptions for 346 yards and 2 touchdowns. He added 219 yards on the ground and 6 touchdowns, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Moriarty's versatility allows him to be lined up not just as a natural TE, but also in the backfield as a blocking/ball-carrying Fullback. Moriarty can burn a defense over the middle on a seam route, and he's a very good route runner with impressive athleticism and strong hands. Moriarty is deserving of the No. 1 ranking at the "athlete" position for the class of 2027, and he should continue to shine as a major piece toward Springfield's team as they look to claim the Class 1A title in 2025 after 3 straight title-game losses.
