Going back and watching the film from the showcase, I thought Jaxson was very smart with his drops, marrying with the route concepts he was throwing. That was a common problem with some of the quarterbacks in attendance. His throws were out on time and ball placement was strong, allowing his receivers to consistently make catches and plays on the football. Jaxson had a strong season last year and has performed well at camps already this offseason.

Andrew has some good size on him, and going into his junior year, he has a chance to really break out as a college prospect. I liked his technique and fundamentals - it looks like he has been coached well from that standpoint. Andrew showed some good arm strength to fit the ball in some tight spaces during the 1 on 1 period of the showcase as well. A 3.6 GPA and playing baseball are two traits that always translate to the quarterback position, also!

We have Titus on our wait list in our state rankings because we are excited about the potential he has overall as a back, and just want to see some film to back up those thoughts. For his size, to be a 2028 player is a promising thing, though, because I think all he needs is an opportunity to step into a role and be productive. Titus moved very well with some good agility and speed with the ball in his hands through several running back drills.

My colleague Will Helms has been very high on Brody, so I was excited to see him up close myself. Last season, Brody had some good production for a South Iredell team that made the playoffs, and he showed why to me in person at this showcase. Brody showed some very good route-running skills and footwork that enabled him to get some separation on a variety of routes. I also thought Brody caught the ball well in tight spaces and tracked it all the way through the catch, something that doesn't always come naturally to young receivers.

I had some people tell me that Riley was going to be a player to watch, so I made sure to keep an eye on him during the 1 on 1 portion of the showcase. Riley shows the ability to be a game-breaking deep threat this upcoming season for the Green Wave, and he should have some opportunities to win against single coverage as defenses will load up to stop the powerful Green Wave rushing attack. Riley showed excellent speed and the ability to separate well against multiple defensive backs here.

I had a couple of college coaches tell me they were excited to see Lyric up close. Lyric is absolutely every bit of the 6'4 and 300 pounds he is listed at. Sometimes these showcases don't always help power run-based linemen, but Lyric was really impressive during the run-based individual period for offensive linemen. I think as an interior offensive line prospect at the next level, Lyric would be a great fit for a run-based angle blocking offense. Lyric's strength is leaning on people. putting them in the dirt, and doing it again for four quarters.
