As we approach the end of the month of May, the 2025 high school football offseason is in full swing. With that in mind, we are also wrapping up our latest round of rankings updates with the class of 2027 being the latest to be updated. After covering the top players at each position in the class, I wanted to take some time to cover some players whose rankings climbed in our latest update. To kick things off here are some stock risers on the offensive side of the ball in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610705' first='Deairus' last='Smith'] is a quarterback who jumped onto my radar with a strong 2024 season. As a sophomore, he completed 48/87 passes for 860 yards, 12 touchdowns, and five interceptions in 13 games. Smith has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive poise in the pocket, showing the ability to stand strong in pocket and deliver passes while under pressure. Deairus currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.

While [player_tooltip player_id='1665350' first='Camden' last='Page'] has served as a backup throughout his career so far, he is a quarterback who has stood out on the camp circuit and when breaking down film. Page is an accurate passer, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks where only they have a chance to catch the ball. He also has impressive arm strength which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. In backup action as a sophomore, Page threw three touchdown passes and also ran for a touchdown. Page doesn't currently hold any offers but I expect a lot of eyes to be on him as he takes the reins as the starter this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227241' first='Jason' last='Hagan'] recently caught my attention at our Stock Up Showcase camp in Kentucky this past winter. Hagan is a very skilled route runner, showing the ability to use smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. He also has the deep speed to pose as a deep threat and is very reliable in jump ball/contested catch situations. Hagan had a solid sophomore season, catching 23 passes for 365 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games. Jason doesn't currently hold any offers but he is a player who college coaches should have their eyes on heading into his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665345' first='Gaines' last='Howard'] caught my attention with an impressive sophomore season in which he caught 29 passes for 506 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games. Howard lines up in the slot where he uses his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease to create separation. He is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains at any given moment. Howard doesn't currently hold any offers but he will definitely be a player to keep an eye on over the next two seasons.

My final offensive stock riser in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1531670' first='Landon' last='Estep']. Estep lines up at left tackler where he is a dominant run blocker. He does a great job of exploding out of his stance and driving his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage. Estep has also shown the ability to get to the second level with a sense of urgency to pick up blocks in the open field and has shown the physical punch to knock opposing defenders off their feet with ease. He has also proven to be reliable in pass protection, keeping a strong base while absorbing contact to not allow much penetration into the pocket. Estep doesn't currently hold any offers but should be a player to watch as he continues to develop.
