He moves well for his size when pulling across the line and getting to the second level and does a good job finishing blocks downfield and winning with violence at the point of attack. As he continues to grow and develop, he can work on leverage throughout his block progression, but has tons of untapped potential and upside. In pass protection he shows good footwork and patient hands while staying within his frame and is able to win against both speed and power rushers. He is a twitchy route runner that can beat both man and zone coverage and has strong hands and good tracking abilities over the top. He is a patient and precise route runner that can get into defenders blind spots before breaking off and he has big play abilities after the catch. Golding is physical off the line and adjusts well to the ball in the air with body control and high-point abilities. He is a accurate passer that does a good job putting touch on the ball over the top and throwing his receivers open while moving quickly through his progressions and putting good zip on the ball downfield. He shows he can navigate the pocket and feel pressure while scanning the field quickly and taking what is given. Kirkland gets the ball out quickly with a snappy release and puts good spin on the ball, throwing on schedule passes while doing a good job and moving defenders with his eyes. He is strong at the point of attack while able to create immediate vertical push and shows he can finish blocks downfield and moves well for his size. He has a strong, initial punch and a solid base/leg drive through contact and violence. He can quickly get to the second level, taking the proper angles and finishing blocks downfield against second level defenders. He projects as a 4-3 defensive end at the next level as he continues to grow and develop, and should be able to pack on weight to his frame over the next two years. He is quick off the ball with a powerful inside strike, does a good job at using his length to keep blockers away from his chest and wins with a high motor and natural bend around the edge.
