2026 Rankings New Additions Position Analysis (Running Backs)

He rushed for over 1,400 yards and 20+ touchdowns in his final prep season and had a truly breakout campaign. He has a strong build, fluid movement abilities and contact balance and can navigate through traffic quickly while running behind his pads and bouncing off tacklers both in traffic and in the open field. He is a zone runner that has good vision, cutback abilities against flow and can start/stop in the hole quickly before knifing upfield. Overall, he is a very well balanced back that can catch the ball out of the backfield and excels in pass protection that is very well deserving to enter into our final updated 2026 rankings as a top ten back. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/jacksoncheslak2/status/1986881519282233847?s=20 </div></figure>     <p>Blewett is a strong and downhill back that squared his shoulders and runs his feet through contact while showing contact balance and vision in tight windows with a natural first level burst. He is a two-way player and could play on either side in college and enters into our rankings update just outside the top 60 overall. The Homedale product is a versatile prospect with natural hands out of the backfield, is able to run inside or outside the tackles and is a sure tackler with natural hips in coverage and packs a punch in the box from his second level position as well.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JavidBlewett/status/1989168162341114300?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Value is a big time playmaker from the backfield and is explosive in the open field with natural ball carrier abilities and runs hard behind his pads. He shows he can run in-between the tackles or outside, has a good initial burst and gets behind his pads with natural forward lean and contact balance and shows he can break away in the clear. Value has a very strong lower half build and is tough to take down in one on one situations and looks for contact in the hole with cutback abilities and good vision in tight spaces. He also shows he can lineup wide and make plays through the air as a natural pass catcher that quickly knifes upfield. He is a no-brainer D3+caliber prospect and should be drawing plenty of interest/roster spot offers here late and checked into our final rankings update as a top five back in his class. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ColtValue/status/1973594834008154174?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Felix is a bit undersized but a truly electric player from the backfield with a solid burst through the first level and elite open field speed and contact balance when navigating through traffic at the first two levels. He shows he can bounce off tacklers and keeps his legs churning through contact while able to make defenders miss with short area twitch and lateral movement and can lineup in the backfield or in the slot as needed. His lateral quickness, open field speed and big play abilities makes him a very intriguing prospect at the D3+ level and he could end up being a nice late steal for that level over the next few months. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Yearout lands on our watch list rankings after a solid senior season and is a big and physical two-way star that can gain the tough yards inside and has some open field speed and wiggle in the clear. He gets downhill quickly, runs with a low pad level while seemingly always falling forward and looks for contact in the hole staying physical behind his pads. Doubling on either side of the ball as well, he could play as more of a fullback/H-back role in college or as a linebacker/on the edge due to his size, strength, hip fluidity and comfortability in space if ever having to drop into coverage. He was a key name to note across the state this fall and had a breakout season for St. Maries and is another kid that should get a chance at the next level. </p>    <p></p>
