Today we start of with [player_tooltip player_id='1158930' first='Blake' last='Dominique'], a tailback from the class of 2029. Although he ran hard and works a move; however, I had concerns about his ball security. Dominique ran with the ball a bit low and did not pin it. As he prepares for high school, Dominique must understand and embrace the fact that ball security is priority #1 - ironically, by embracing the ball closer to his body, pinning it to his chest, chinning it, and applying the five points of pressure... [player_tooltip player_id='1653743' first='Erik' last='Weinstock'], also of 2029, showed that he can size up a matchup very well. Weinstock matched up his opponent's speed nicely, using his speed to gain the edge while also showcasing a solid burst to get in-and-out of impending danger.

As far as the class of 2030 is concerned, [player_tooltip player_id='1653507' first='Jeyden' last='Thomas'] is a prospect that caught my attention. Thomas showed some stop-and-go ability as he leveraged his stutter step in order to misdirect overcommitting linebackers and create space for himself to accelerate... By far, the top 2030 back in attendance was [player_tooltip player_id='1653746' first='Shamar' last='Maddrey Jr.'] Maddrey was highly elusive and moved very well. He trusts his speed - which I am hopeful he learns to apply when running his track in a proper high school offense. Maddrey was also a back that I saw running routes, where he actually managed to add skills to showcase along with his speed and agility. I was not sure what to call the route at first, but I settled on a "whip & up," where Maddrey was lined up in the slot, ran inside, quickly stopped on a dime to pivot to the outside - only to turn up the sideline and win with speed. The throw he received was not the best, but Maddrey managed to adjust and also concentrated on the catch in traffic and through the ground for one highly impressive play.
