Farfan came to ball on Sunday, earning combine MVP honors and stunning coaches and writers alike throughout the afternoon. A three-year starter and 2x All-District member, Farfan proved to be one of, if not the best, QBs from the Twin Cities. His arm strength has improved dramatically, and there were a number of college-level throws he hit at all three levels across the day. The throw that locked him in as our camp MVP, a 30+ yard post thrown on a rope, perfectly led and placed. Farfan has been in the lab, and it's showing. Expect a big senior season from the St. Paul Johnson product.

If there was a prospect who could've won Co-MVP, it was Mapson. At back-to-back combines now, I've seen Mapson throw with the best, turning heads with his arm and his legs. Perhaps his most impressive trait is his ability to consistently throw rockets to receivers off platform and on the run. Ball placement, in particular, really stood out to me as well. There were a number of throws in the red zone and in the open field where he hit very tight windows, placing the ball where only the receiver could get it. With verified 4.6 speed and one of the best arm talents in his class, it's easy to see why his stock is rising so quickly.

Now we're at two camps in a row where Brenny has impressed me, and this one more so than the last. I could count on two hands the number of times he uncorked a pass and heaved it downfield, dropping it perfectly in his receiver's bread basket, and a collective "OOOH" followed. This kid's arm talent is legit, and from what I've seen among the best in the 2027 class. He's not just a deep route specialist, though. Brenny hit a number of tight windows in red zone situations, showcasing how well-rounded he is as a passer. Big things are in the future for the Foley product.

It seems like every week I sing Rodemeyer's praises, but as far as I'm concerned, he deserves everything he's getting. He ran a disgusting 4.28 in the pro-agility drill and followed that up with dozens of great balls throughout the afternoon. He showcased stellar accuracy and touch, especially on short to intermediate routes, which will be evident in the way he dices up defenses next season. When he needs to let his arm loose, he can, and he doesn't let it float all day either; it'll be thrown on a rope. I like everything Rodemeyer has going right now, and I can't wait for his junior year.

I've long held the idea that Johnson was among not only the best QBs in AAAAAA, but the entire state. His performance on Sunday only reinforced that notion. Boasting a silky smooth release and impressive velo on every one of his passes, Johnson can rip balls into pockets that most other QBs can't. He was also able to anticipate windows opening better than most. There were a number of times he hit short whip routes in the red zone that were challenging to say the least, and a large majority of those balls were placed at a high level. He's definitely a 2026 QB whose stock I could see rising over his senior year.

A QB who is far more developed than most 2028s are, Greseth's frame and arm talent allow him to stand clearly ahead of his peers. His feet could be faster, but if you give him a pocket and time to work, you're going to be hard-pressed to find a 2028 who is as complete a passer as Greseth is. He loves to push the ball deep (who doesn't), but unlike a lot of underclassmen, he rarely struggles with underthrowing third-level passes. In fact, there were a few posts that he dotted up that were just as clean as passes from multi-year varsity starters. Greseth is ripe to challenge for a varsity job as a sophomore.

Perhaps the QB whose stock rose the most with me throughout the afternoon was STA product Alistair Schlaeger. Confident in the pocket with a far more polished release than most 2028's Schlaeger appeared to have all the makings of a talented varsity QB of the future. Consistent ball placement on short routes, super impressionable, and ready to compete, I can't wait to see how Schlaeger evolves over the rest of his prep football career.

There were dozens of times throughout the combine where I looked at Mackey and thought, "No way that's an 8th grader." Super poised and coachable, Mackey was able to outthrow a number of upperclassmen just over 6 months out from a broken back. Coaches and writers alike named him as one of the top performers from the camp, and I'm inclined to agree. He throws a great ball and is, without a doubt, an incoming freshman to watch in 2025.
