[player_tooltip player_id='1659412' first='Jayden' last='Crawford'] is a young defensive back whose tape flashes physical tools and early promise. At 6 feet, 190 pounds, he already brings solid size, good length, and notable explosiveness. He lines up mainly in the slot and in the box, where his physicality shines. One thing that immediately pops is his ability to tackle. That's been a consistent trait for defensive backs coming out of Seton Hall Prep, and Crawford fits that mold.

Where he can take the next step is in coverage. Right now, he doesn't have many pure coverage reps on film. But with his athletic traits, there's potential for growth. He's earned a Division I offer from Wofford based on that early upside, and now it's about expanding his game. If he can develop more on the back end and sharpen his ability to cover in space, Crawford could emerge as one of the top box safeties in New Jersey.

[player_tooltip player_id='1659470' first='Samuel' last='Simpkins'] out of Ewing is one of those multi-sport athletes whose all-around talent jumps off the film. Listed at 5'10”, he plays wide receiver, safety, and cornerback—but his flashes at wide receiver are especially impressive. He might not have the thickest frame, but he plays strong. At the catch point, his focus stands out. He tracks the ball well, makes plays downfield, and isn't afraid to finish through contact.

While he's not the most natural hands-catcher just yet, he hauls in tough grabs and can create after the catch. His physicality and body control make him a reliable target. On defense, he shows good instincts at safety. He diagnoses plays quickly, has no hesitation coming downhill, and delivers hits that separate the ball from the receiver.

Simpkins is a two-way contributor and a natural athlete—he also plays multiple positions on the baseball diamond. With added bulk and another year of development, he has a chance to push himself into the D2 or D3 conversation. For now, he's a rising 2026 prospect who should be on more radars heading into the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1199938' first='Alex' last='Hanks'] from East Orange is one of the more physically gifted and underrated prospects in North Jersey. Standing at 6'1”, 185, Hanks brings a tough, physical presence to the wide receiver position. But what makes him different is that he's not just physical—he's fast, explosive, and fluid in space. You can see that speed when he separates vertically, but he also runs a clean, well-developed route tree for a high school receiver.

He's sharp in and out of breaks, shows quick change of direction, and has the contact balance to make defenders miss or bounce off after the catch. His ability to rack up yards post-catch is where he shines. On defense, Hanks adds value as a versatile safety who can play deep, drop into the box, or line up over the slot. He consistently finds the football and has already shown the ability to turn turnovers into points, with multiple pick-sixes on film.

Though still flying under the radar in broader circles, college staff are taking notice. Hanks currently holds offers from Temple, Charlotte, West Virginia, and UMass. Expect his stock to rise even higher as he continues to showcase that rare mix of size, speed, and playmaking on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1301807' first='Jaylen' last='Eastman'] from Rahway is the type of prospect who grabs your attention immediately on film. Standing at 6'3”, 215 pounds, Eastman has the frame and athletic profile that screams upside. He's got long arms, broad shoulders, and a lean, muscular build that looks tailor-made for the edge position. Right now, he's more of an athlete than a finished product, but his natural tools are hard to miss.

What jumps out first is the explosion. He gets off the ball quickly and covers ground fast. While he's still developing his pass rush arsenal, he already flashes good hand usage to gain leverage and is solid against the run. One of his most intriguing traits is his ability to affect the passing game without even getting a sack—tipping and batting down passes with his length and timing, and even snagging an interception. Those types of impact plays don't always show up on stat sheets, but they change games.

On offense, he shows promise as a tight end. He's fluid in his routes, displays soft hands, and can make plays in space. The movement skills at his size are impressive, and he offers versatility on both sides of the ball. Eastman recently earned his first Division I offer from the University of Wofford. With continued development, especially as he fills out his frame, he's a player who could start generating more attention in the coming months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1659727' first='Hudson' last='Prichard'] out of St. Peter's Prep is a name worth circling heading into the 2025 season. At 6 feet and around 150–160 pounds, Prichard may not stand out physically just yet, but his film shows a developing receiver who understands how to get open and make tough catches in traffic. He's particularly savvy at finding soft spots in zone coverage and shows reliable hands when defenders are around him.

What stands out most is his ability to change direction. He's crisp getting in and out of breaks and doesn't waste movement in his routes. That technical ability, combined with the flashes he's shown in limited reps, makes him a potential breakout candidate for the Marauders.

Hudson has also made a name for himself this offseason on the 7-on-7 circuit, showing consistency and polish that signal he's trending in the right direction. With more opportunities coming his way in the fall, Prichard is a player we'll be watching closely. A strong senior campaign could turn him into one of the more intriguing late-rising wideouts in North Jersey.
