This weekend, our Prep Redzone Combine Series will be making a stop in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. While there is a ton of talent scheduled to attend this camp, I wanted to highlight some top players in each class to watch on Saturday. After already covering the classes of 2026 and 2027, here are some top players from the class of 2028 to watch at this weekend's Prep Redzone Combine Series in Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1033168' first='Landon' last='Kirtley'] is a player who stood out to me with some impressive freshman year film. Kirtley lines up at safety where is very reliable in pass coverage. He does a great job of dropping into coverage and reading the quarterback then flowing through the secondary to put himself in a position to make a play on the ball. Landon has also shown the ability to fill the lane and provide support against the run. Kirtley should be a player to watch as he continues to develop over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1269565' first='Jace' last='Hagy'] has stood out early in his high school career as one of the top receivers in the state in his class. Hagy has very impressive speed which he is able to use to burst out of his stance and blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes/screens into big gains at any given moment. I expect Hagy to have a lot of eyes on him this season after his impressive freshman year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1270351' first='Ethan' last='Cobb'] established himself as one of the top offensive linemen in the state in his class with a strong freshman year. Cobb lines up at center where he is an impressive run blocker. He gets the snap off quickly then drives his man down the field with ease, finishing his blocks through the whistle. Cobb is also reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to pick up stunts/blitzes while maintaining a strong base. Ethan will be a player to continue keep an eye on heading into his sophomore year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294694' first='Tatyn' last='Skidmore'] is another offensive lineman who caught my attention as a freshman. He lined up at right tackle where he was dominant as a run blocker. Skidmore plays with a ton of physicality, showing the strength to knock defenders off balance with ease with his initial punch. He also has impressive leg drive which he uses to drive his man down the field to create movement off the line of scrimmage. Tatyn will be an intriguing player to watch as he continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='423487' first='Jett' last='Boyd'] was a player who stood out to me when breaking down freshman year film. He saw some varsity carries as a freshman and was impressive when on the field. Boyd has the speed to get up the field in a hurry then break away from the defense on long runs. Once he hits the open field, he has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss with ease. Jett will be a player to continue to watch as his role in the Somerset offense continues to grow.

My final 2028 prospect to watch at this weekend's camp is [player_tooltip player_id='1593704' first='Kaysin' last='Cato']. Cato had a strong freshman year at center for John Hardin. He is very impressive as a run blocker, showing the ability to run his feet through contact to drive his man out of the picture with a sense of urgency. Cato also does a great job of finishing his blocks through the whistle with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Kaysin will be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next three seasons.
