It was my first time seeing 2026 Pickens (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='1090770' first='Hayden' last='Jones'] since his freshman season at Pickens. Since then, he has taken some major strides forward and is someone coaches are checking in on. He hovers around 6'0 and is well-built. He is a good athlete who showcases some toughness as a runner, but he certainly surprised me as a passer after seeing him throw in person. He is explosive, has a compact delivery, and throws a ball that arrives loud. He looks natural on the move as well. Fine-tuning his touch is the next step in his development. Either way, he has taken a massive step forward and proved to have more juice as a passer than I initially expected.

My first in-person exposure to 2026 Thomasville (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='283807' first='Camren' last='Hill'] came at this session. He is all of 6'3 200 and is still growing into his frame and developing as a mover. He has effortless arm strength, lofting the ball with both power and touch with just the flick of his wrist. He is a natural boomer of the football who is only going to get better as his mechanics and movements tighten. It should be a busy offseason for Hill.

'28 Jackson (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='1026669' first='Ashton' last='Tyson'] is just a puppy still in the infancy stages of his football growth, but there is some upside here. Hovers around 6'0 165 and is a good athlete who plays both ways. He has a natural 3/4ths delivery. When on, he put some zip on the ball and could tightrope it outside the numbers.

'28 Dacula (GA) youngster Tim Harlan is a loose athlete with a growth spurt in the tank. Mechanics are fairly smooth for a young guy and he has adequate arm strength at this stage of development. Harlan should get a re-eval a year from now when he develops some more horsepower and juice.

'29 North Cobb (GA) WR [player_tooltip player_id='1720374' first='Jordan' last='Peacock'] was one of the receivers at this workout. Coaches around him believe he has a chance to be one of the premier 2029 prospects in GA, and it's easy to see why. He already hovers around 6'0 and is a fluid mover. He looks the part now and still has growth spurts and more football development left in the tank. He is a candidate to contribute as a freshman this fall.

Velocity Football Academy Annual 1v1 Competition

I have seen 2028 North Cobb DL CJ Williams in person several times and walk away extremely impressed each time. At first look, Williams looks like a pure plugger with his stout 6'1 275 frame. While he will certainly handle those responsibilities well, his finesse and explosiveness are elite given his frame. He is fiery, works his hands, and will even throw spin moves at blockers to free himself. He is difficult to defend 1 on 1 and is hard to push around, too.

Some of the more elite EDGE prospects in the country are the ones 6'3+ with long arms. However, I think there is something to say about the shorter pass rushers who are explosive, have fiery hands, and overwhelm blockers with their motor and pursuit skills. '26 Central (AL) EDGE/OLB [player_tooltip player_id='212200' first='Tristan' last='Lyles'] is exactly that. He is explosive off the line, uses his hands to win, and even has some bend to help catch the corner. Several P4 schools are in on Lyles, and have been for some time.

'26 Kell (GA) DL Alex Jean impresses me for all the reasons I mentioned above. Comes in around 6'1 260 and carries his weight well. He is explosive off the line, works quick hands, and is a blur when he spins and cuts across the face of blockers. Jean plays up and down the line for Kell, but I think there's a lot to like about him as a true pass rusher on the edge. He holds several FBS offers.

'28 Central (AL) EDGE La'Bryant Jones is a puppy, but he catches my eye and I love his upside. He comes in around 6'3 215 with plenty of room to add weight. Still developing some explosiveness, but he uses his hands well and pairs that with decent bend to win at critical points of the pass rush. He will be battle-tested and developed well at Central. He is a guy who might look like a completely different person and player a year from now.

'26 Sequoyah (GA) OL [player_tooltip player_id='1608813' first='Alexander' last='Brewer'] might not have been as athletic as some of the other prospects at the event, but he played just as well and was rarely beaten. He plays with good leverage, a strong anchor, and keeps his feet active to reposition and stall pass rushers. He pairs that with a good frame and adequate athleticism. He holds several FBS offers and is a high-floor prospect who can occupy several spots along the offensive front.

Elite 11 ATL Regional

I feel like '27 Central (AL) QB Bobby Coleman Jr never gets the love that he deserves for how he performs at these events. Coleman is exceptionally smooth, has good mechanics, and is consistently on target. He is one of the more reliable point A to point B passers I have seen in person. It will be a big fall for him stepping into the main QB duties at Central. He has several FBS offers. He has been a favorite of mine for over a year now.

'27 Tucker (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='662078' first='Jace' last='German'] has been on my radar since earlier this offseason. This is my first in-person exposure to him. He is more stout, explosive, and has more horsepower than I initially expected. Still developing as a passer, but the juice is there. I am really intrigued with him athletically and am interested to see how college coaches value him over the next few years. He holds a few FBS offers.

Got a first look at '26 Benedictine Military (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='401555' first='Stephen' last='Cannon'], a personal favorite of mine on tape. He is an impressively built prospect. Listed around 6'3 200. Longer and leaner than I initially expected, but still cut. He has a wind-up style delivery and can put some serious velocity on the ball. He is good now and has dozens of D1 offers. As his mechanics tighten and he fills out, he has a chance to be a difference maker at the next level.

'26 Vigor (AL) QB [player_tooltip player_id='1603640' first='Sammy' last='Dunn'] was a fun watch at this event. Smaller, athletic prospect who you can tell loves to work off-platform. He is not afraid to absolutely rip the ball, and consistently caught my eye with the zip and tight spin he threw with. He holds several D1 offers and raised his stock at this event amongst some of the best QBs in the country.

'26 South Paulding (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='283868' first='Kade' last='Wigginton'] has taken massive strides forward over the last year. He has always been a cut, impressive athlete who is a playmaker as a runner. Now, he is coming around as a passer. His mechanics are far improved, and the ball comes out of his hand better. He is in a good spot headed into his senior season and will have college coaches watching closely.

'26 Blessed Trinity (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='1612992' first='Brooks' last='Goodman'] had a really good day. He has compact mechanics and was on the money all afternoon. He spun the ball well on drive throws and generated easy drive on the ball.

It was my first in-person exposure to '27 North Cobb (GA) QB [player_tooltip player_id='941943' first='Teddy' last='Jarrard']. Jarrard is one of the premier QB prospects in GA in the 2027 class, and for good reason. I would describe everything Jarrard does as "easy". He is real smooth into his drop, skates up through the pocket when he throws, and has a quick, fluid delivery. He puts some air underneath the ball and spins it without much effort. Jarrard will see an uptick in competition this fall.
