He is the epitome of an old school football player that will hit anything that moves and do it with authority. Solid quickness with good change of direction all around with the ability to squeeze through a narrow lane and bust loose for a big play, but can also put that shoulder down and run through opponents. On D, he can fill alley and win those battles, and also shows sideline to sideline range to pursuit ball carriers. His biggest area of improvement needs to be the decision making, as he'll have to limit the turnovers in 2025. If he can do so- then he should be worthy of pulling multiple D3 offers. He shows competitive toughness every week, frequently taking huge hits after release and was constantly being pressured all season, but still hung in the pocket. He recently clocked a verified 4.6 and looks like a player that could eventually break into that 4.4 range. He was a solid CB for Prescott last year with excellent technique and disciplined eyes in man coverage, and also flashed good ball skills as a potential ball hawk here in 2025. He comes off a season where he threw for over 1,700 yards and 21 TD's and Payson will return the majority of those weapons including their leading WR from 2024. Really good frame at 6'4" 190lbs with more room to add mass which will certainly come. Really good pocket mechanics as he throws with anticipation and has shown the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with velocity or touch. Quick, active feet with an excellent transition and break on the ball with impressive ball skills. He locks down receivers in man coverage from any depth and his ability to eat up ground quickly is very impressive, along with his recovery speed. He isn't your traditional CB when lined up there- as he'll fly up and deliver big hits on ball carriers and isn't shy of contact. Excellent versatility along the secondary with the ability to line up at CB on an island, move in on the slot, or play and excel as a FS.
