Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Harris was one of the leading rushers in the state among 2026 grads last season totaling 1,375 yards and 10 touchdowns on 191 carries. He’s a tough tackle and runs hard for a 5’10” 165 lb. RB. He’s a downhill runner that is quick to press the LOS and apply pressure to the defense. Good ability to absorb and fight through contact with good leg drive and strength at the POA. Shows a good lateral jump cut to avoid tacklers and is able to weave his way through tight spaces. Good awareness of defenders and ball security, carrying it high and tight while protecting it with two hands at contact. He’s a two-way playmaker for Blue Ridge adding 105 total tackles on defense during his junior year.

Harris is a two way player that I’ve talked about at RB before, but also want to highlight his ability to come downhill and fill alley as a LB. He is the epitome of an old school football player that will hit anything that moves and do it with authority. Solid quickness with good change of direction all around with the ability to squeeze through a narrow lane and bust loose for a big play, but can also put that shoulder down and run through opponents. On D, he can fill alley and win those battles, and also shows sideline to sideline range to pursuit ball carriers. A pure, tough as nails football player that deserves to draw some attention.

Harris was a workhorse for Blue Ridge, putting up over 1,300 yards on 191 attempts in 10 games played. Tough, hard nosed kid that will run through a wall and doesn’t care how big or tough his opponents are. He hits the hole with a purpose between the tackles and runs with a low pad level- keeping momentum forward and will run directly through and over opponents. Good speed as well as he possesses solid vision to find those cutback lanes when stretching the edge, and holds that top end speed to finish big plays. A well polished Back that can bring a bit of everything to the table, and given an offseason to increase that size and strength will be a game changer for Harris heading into the spring.

Harris had a monster statistical season as a junior racking up 127 total tackles with 12.5 TFL and 4.5 sacks. At 5’10” 160 lbs. he does a great job reading run/pass and then locating the ball carrier. He’s quick to trigger taking good angles of pursuit to the ball. Honorable Mention to the All-Arizona team and also contributed at RB. Size and skillset could transition well to the secondary as he develops.
