Carter is one that was hard to miss at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine on Sunday, as yet another Byron Bears target that has caught my radar. The 6'6 230 pounder impressed me with his athletic stance and the growing generation of power he showed off in his hands as it got better and better with each rep. I also was impressed with how parallel Carter was with his angles on his blocks, as his line showed off a well-wersed balance from top to bottom. Carter showed off quick engagement with his hands and great short area vision as one that has the ability to multi-engage on any given run-blocking rep as I saw more downhill pep in Carter's step on Sunday than what shows off on his junior tape. I think Carter is a sleeper in the state with great upside brewing for the next-level.

Another new name that popped out out of Mankato West was 2027 offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1656097' first='Liam' last='Nessler']. The 6'4 nearly 250 pounder showed off intriguing footwork for his size as I also liked Liam's constant foot speed with his reps he took at our Prep Redzone Minnnesota Combine in Plymouth. He also impressed me with how rangy he was getting out of the inside box to to the outside as a pull-blocker as the coaches working the drill were persistently impressed with Liam with how well his ran his feet. Not much tape or Twitter presence out there yet, but one thing I do know is I believe this young man has excellent upside to watch to see how he progresses in the coming years.

Billy was a new name for me and others out of this 2026 class of offensive linemen in attendance as one that caught our attention. The 6'1 273 pounder had better technique than I had expected, as one that impressed me with his hand placement and strength with his leverage during the reps that I watched despite having a smaller hand size in testing, Billy made up for it with his highly active punches. I liked seeing that Billy got OL reps during our Minnesota Combine, as I feel his upside might be slightly higher as an offensive linemen. However, college coaches should also watch the tape for his reps as a defensive tackle, as he looks more polished right now in my eyes.

A small school hidden gem to know in this 2027 class of offensive linemen, is Cameron Fortnun who caught the attention of muliple PRZ scouts on Sunday at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine. I came away impressed with how agile this young man was with his first step in the reps I watched and seeing his pro agility consistency (4.78, twice) it suchs off quickly the translation of what I saw from testing to live reps. The length with Cameron's wingspan was noticed too in testing as the 6'0 253 pounder stretched out to 6'3 in the wingspan department as I was impressed with his striking ability from a distance and carried the driving leverage I wanted to see. Anytime you catch the attention of muliple scouts during a camp of 200+ prospects, you are on the right track with your college football future in my eyes like Cameron is.

A 2027 offensive linemen that caught my attention, but hasn't caught the attention at the next-level yet and should soon, is [player_tooltip player_id='1533772' first='Casey' last='Pearson'] of Holy Family Catholic. The 6'3 240 pound offensive linemen measured in with a wopping 6'9 wingspan as one that passed the early eye test and was eye catching in the reps we watched at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Combine too. He showed off the attention to detail with how quick he could land his punches and was more agile with his footwork than the pro agility might tell you at the moment as this young man is still a work in progress with light tape, but upside thru the roof if he can put it all together.

There is no question that the bulk of our PRZ scouts were excited to see live reps out of [player_tooltip player_id='1602672' first='Kyson' last='Arndt'] of Minneota on Sunday, as the 2026 defensive end showed off to be just as intriguing as he was during the state championship game. The verified 6'4 222 pounder, showed off during the live eval a defensive end with a powerful stance that oozes with athletic ability from the jump and off the snap wastes no time with the working of his hands off the defender. In fact, I liked how it seemed like rep after rep that speed off the defender surely seemed to get faster downhill to the ball carrier. He certified why he is one of the best prospects available in the 2026 class out of class 1A and powerhouse Minneota and should have a huge summer on his recruiting trail.
