I got a live eval on Casey during the 2025 season and had him as a standout in thier game against Annandale in which I remember “upside” being a buzz word that was unlocked back then, and I feel it was untapped at the SDSU Prospect Camp. The 6’4 280 pounder, showed off to be more flexible and showed more agile hips in the live reps I watched in Brookings on Monday. He’s one that still has some rawness to keep unlocking, but with one offer thus far he’s one that is trending the direction you want during camp season.

One of two 2027 athletes to find himself on this list, Pearson’s stock has risen tremendously this offseason, a trend I don’t see slowing down anytime soon. He doesn’t have a ton of sophomore-year tape, but his intangibles are crazy. He utilizes his long wingspan well and does a good job of absorbing powerful bull rushes. He’s a kid I’m pumped to see more of going forward, and if Pearson puts forth some nuts junior tape, he’s an athlete who could attract a lot of higher-level attention.

Pearson quickly managed to turn my head with his long wingspan and impressive height. I loved his fundamentals, ranging from a textbook stance to clean kicksteps working back; it was all impressive. He plays a little forward at times and could use improvement on readjusting his sets, but Pearson’s potential for high-level production is clear. He’s got two years to put on weight and get some work in, and a season of varsity playing time would serve his development well. He appears to be the kind of athlete you see take massive steps each time you see him, so I’m pumped to see how he performs during his junior campaign.

Holy Family Catholic High School has been quietly pumping out XL, high-ceiling, experienced varsity football prospects the last few cycles and beyond, and PRzMN is very interested in seeing how now-reported 6’5, 230 lb. sophomore Casey Pearson Casey Pearson 6'4" | 275 lbs | OL/DL Holy Family Catholic | 2027 State MN continues to develop and build on his game, as well as his frame. Pearson can play on either side of the ball and possesses the size to both catch and hold the attention of major college scouts and coaches, but he doesn’t have any tape or statistics from the 2024 season, leaving a lot up to the imagination as to how this kid plays. Luckily, it looks like he may be coming to April 13th’s PrepRedzoneMN Showcase, where I would be ITCHING to get some eyes on him. Don’t be surprised if you hear more about Pearson soon.
