A potent blocker who plays low, stays active with the hands, and sustains a high motor through the whistle, Durbin was consistently driving defenders backward on his tape, excelling as a run blocker while also showcasing solid lateral feet and movement to throw some blocks in motion. Billy was an offensive linemen in the 2027 class that caught my attention at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase and this Saturday too at the Pro MN Athletics Camp in Edina. He was one of the more polished offensive linemen in his class on Saturday in my eyes, with solid strength and leverage at the point of attack. I feel college coaches will like the position flexibility this young man offers on both sides of the ball in the trenches as Billy on tape shows off excellent short area vision and those same bouldering hands we saw in the live eval on Saturday. Durbin burst onto the scene today, hailing from the small northern town of Battle Lake, and he showed out for his team. An interior offensive lineman with a wide base, Durbin, too, was able to stifle bull rushes despite being at a disadvantage. He also made quick work of defenders attempting to bend the edge around him with solid kicksteps, and even was able to gain ground with power steps that generated tremendous leverage against a defender. A 2027 with plenty of room to develop, Durbin has a lot to love as a prospect.
