Film Room Fridays- Top Offensive Submissions of the Week

Welcome back to Film Room Fridays!   In this installment, we are looking at some of the recent submissions we have received from prospects on the offensive side of the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1654951' first='Tristan' last='Darden'] is a talented sophomore WR out of Pelham who put together an impressive season for their passing attack last fall.   At 6'1 170, Darden has the size and speed to be a huge threat outside. He's quick on his feet, can run a variety of routes really well, and has the eyes and hands to track and haul in receptions all over the field. Darden can also do a lot after the catch- he's fast, can make defenders miss, and works to grind out every possible yard each reception.   Darden is also a physical blocker who can open up huge opportunities downfield for his teammates- he's strong, plays with good leverage, and can pancake DBs if needed, leading to huge plays on the ground.   Check out Darden's tape from last season below, he's a talented wideout with a big junior year ahead!      [player_tooltip player_id='1507694' first='Kolby' last='Holt'] is a talented RB/WR prospect out of Locust Fork who played incredibly well before injury last fall.   Holt was excellent at RB last fall. He's highly athletic, plays with a ton of speed and physicality, and can create explosive plays all over the field. Holt has terrific speed and acceleration out of the backfield, once he breaks through the line of scrimmage and into the open field it's tough for defenses to catch up and stop him.   Holt is a very physical player- he has great contact balance, can power through defenders, and requires multiple people to bring him down. Holt can also produce in the passing game, he's a reliable target out of the backfield who consistently comes up with big catches out in the flats to move the chains.   Holt played really well last season and is set up for a huge comeback year this fall, be sure to check out his film below.      [player_tooltip player_id='1513716' first='Kai' last='Franklin'] is a talented passer out of Gadsden City who has helped his offense in tons of ways over the last few years.   Franklin is a magician in the pocket- he does a great job avoiding pressure and stepping out of sacks to create tons of time and launch passes downfield for huge gains. Franklin has some impressive arm talent, he can push the ball downfield, accurately hit his WRs in stride, and make some impressive off-platform throws on the run and under pressure.   Franklin also has the speed and mobility to create huge plays with his legs, scrambling out of the pocket or taking designed runs upfield for huge plays on the ground.   Franklin had his best season yet last fall, ending the year completing 164/257 passing attempts for 2207 yards, 22 TDs, and only one INT.   Franklin put together some great junior tape you can watch below, be sure to give him a watch- he's a talented QB with a big season ahead this fall!      [player_tooltip player_id='1654954' first='Zane' last='Robinson'] is a talented 2027 OL prospect out of Dora who has been huge upfront for his offense, especially last fall.   [player_tooltip player_id='1654954' first='Zane' last='Robinson'] is a physical run blocker who consistently dominates the line of scrimmage for Dora. Robinson opens up so much for his team's rushing attack- he's quick off the snap, plays with great leverage, and has the strength and power to drive back defenders several yards, giving his teammates plenty of room to work with.   Robinson is also reliable in pass protection- he does a good job using his size to wall off pass rushers and provides a clean pocket for his quarterback to work with.   Robinson has some great sophomore tape you can see below- he's a talented OL with a big junior year ahead, be sure to check him out!      [player_tooltip player_id='1654962' first='Keyshawn' last='Woods'] is a dominant RB out of Cherokee County who had a really big season on the ground last fall.   Woods is explosive with the ball in his hands, he plays with a ton of speed and twitch out of the backfield and is a threat to take it the distance every carry. Woods has great vision, is patient for blocks to develop, and finds the best lane to take the ball upfield for huge plays on the ground.   Woods is also highly elusive and can easily make defenders miss behind the line of scrimmage and in the open field. Pairing that with his contact balance makes him a hard player to stop- he's a shifty back who can withstand hits and step out of tackles, constantly causing headaches for opposing defenses.   Woods was a huge piece of what Cherokee County did offensively last fall- ending his junior year with 166 carries for 1096 yards and 18 TDs on the ground.   Woods made a ton of huge plays last season, be sure to check out his tape below!      [player_tooltip player_id='1654961' first='Quinton' last='Johnson Jr.'] is an up-and-coming 2028 WR out of Pleasant Grove with a bright career ahead of him.   Johnson is a well-rounded WR who can already impact the game in several ways- he's quick, tough, and can attack multiple levels of the field. With his route running and quickness, Johnson is a big play threat downfield who can haul in some impressive receptions for huge gains. He also can create big plays off of screens and shorter passes, using his speed and elusiveness to rack up extra yards after the catch.   I was impressed with Johnson's receiving ability- he has great body control, a reliable set of hands, and can haul in passes through coverage and contact to move the chains and find the endzone.   Watch out for Johnson going forward, he's a talented weapon on the outside with a ton of potential for Pleasant Grove's passing attack.      [player_tooltip player_id='1654964' first='Julius' last='Rogers'] is an impressive WR out of Ben C Rain who put together a great season out wide last fall.   [player_tooltip player_id='1654964' first='Julius' last='Rogers'] is a talented deep threat who can dominate secondaries with his speed and physicality. Rogers flies downfield, is excellent at tracking the ball in the air, and constantly poses a threat to take the top off opposing defenses. Rogers is also quick to adapt if his QB is forced out of the pocket, he does a really great job adjusting and getting himself open to create plays no matter how dead they appear.   I'm really impressed with what Rogers can do after the catch- he's quick with the ball in his hands, can make defenders miss, and most importantly, can avoid huge hits right after he hauls in passes.
