Quinton Johnson Jr brings explosiveness and suddenness to the position. He has quick feet at the line of scrimmage, which allows him to create early separation. Johnson shows strong hands and rarely lets the ball into his body on routine catches. His acceleration after the catch makes him a threat on quick screens and short routes. He understands spacing and how to settle into soft spots against zone coverage. As he continues developing his strength and route discipline, he has the tools to become a complete receiver.

is a talented WR from Pleasant Grove who’s now ranked as our #7 WR and #52 overall prospect in the class.
“Johnson is a talented WR/KR who thrives off his speed and acceleration. As soon as the ball hits his hands, you can count on him changing direction and using his speed to turn upfield for huge plays. He’s such a dangerous threat after the catch; his speed allows him to completely separate from every defender on the field.
Obviously, with his speed, Johnson is an impressive deep threat. He runs gos, posts, and other deeper routes to perfection- consistently leaving defenders in the dust to create explosive plays downfield. Look out for this dude next year, he’s got a ton of impressive traits.”
Johnson has started to see his recruitment open up, and it makes sense why. He put together some dominant film from last season, and is only just getting started. We all need to watch out for him this fall. In the meantime, be sure to watch some of his tape below:

A few days back, Johnson announced he picked up his first offer from Samford!
I was pumped to see this. Johnson’s a really underrated WR who deserves a lot more attention moving forward. We all need to keep track of him in 2026.

Johnson has generated some buzz around his name two years into his HS career, and his production this last fall adds more context to that. He is a lean, thin player with room to add more weight. He is a sudden athlete, quick to his top speed. His long strides help him separate in space. He maintains his speed through cuts and changes of direction. He is good now and has the upside to get even better. Definitely someone who is a candidate to pick up some recruiting traction this offseason.

Johnson showcased why he’s quickly becoming one of the state’s most dangerous vertical threats. His game-breaking speed consistently stretches defenses, and once he hits his second gear, separation is practically guaranteed. Despite his lengthier frame, Johnson moves with surprising fluidity, showing clean transitions in and out of breaks. He’s a natural at tracking the ball over his shoulder and making defenders pay for even the slightest coverage lapse. Add in his ability as a return specialist and you’ve got a complete offensive weapon who can change the flow of a game in a single snap.

Quinton Johnson Jr. is a talented WR out of Pleasant Grove who’s coming in as our #20 WR and #120 overall prospect.
“Johnson is a well-rounded WR who can already impact the game in several ways- he’s quick, tough, and can attack multiple levels of the field. With his route running and quickness, Johnson is a big-play threat downfield who can haul in some impressive receptions for huge gains. He can also create big plays off of screens and shorter passes, using his speed and elusiveness to rack up extra yards after the catch.
I was impressed with Johnson’s receiving ability- he has great body control, a reliable set of hands, and can haul in passes through coverage and contact to move the chains and find the endzone.“

, a wide receiver at Pleasant Grove Middle School. Johnson made a strong impression due to his overall explosiveness and consistent catching ability despite heavy coverage from the defensive backs. I also liked how Johnson could be shifty in the backfield and pick up speed to get in position for the long pass.
