The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit made their second stop through Oklahoma this weekend in Broken Arrow and the action got started early on Saturday and we got a chance to see some outstanding action in the 18U division. We'll have wall to wall coverage of the tournament with a ton of content coming out following the tourney on Sunday but this breakdown takes a look at some of the best moments from the 18U division on Saturday.

A COUPLE OF GAME WINNERS

[player_tooltip player_id='1083187' first='Barrett' last='Mullen'] To [player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson']

One of three Sooner 7 18U teams, Sooner 7 would bounce back from a tough loss by stunning their opponent in the final seconds. Sooner 7 was running out of time and they could have been staring down the prospect of starting 0-2 on Saturday. Cascia Hall 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1083187' first='Barrett' last='Mullen'] found Perkins-Tryon 2026 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] and it seemed like it was just going to be a simple positive play. Atkinson would then make multiple defenders miss, sliced and diced his way through the secondary and wound up in the end zone in the final seconds. Because of that, Sooner 7 would improve to 1-1 and they would finish the day with a 2-1 record. Mullen has been on our radar for a while and he had a really solid day throwing the ball. Atkinson has also been a player that we've seen from afar but are continuing to buy stock. He's an outstanding playmaker and he showed that on Saturday afternoon.

[player_tooltip player_id='595692' first='Talon' last='Shaffer'] To Dawson Goodlin

918 Smoke was the team that Sooner 7 stunned in the final seconds and 918 Smoke went into their final pool play game with 918 Elite at 0-2 and looking at finishing the day with an 0-3 record. They were losing to 918 Elite in the final seconds and had one final prayer of a pass to get the win. As time ran out, Muskogee 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='595692' first='Talon' last='Shaffer'] launched a bomb to the end zone and at first, it looked like it was going to be intercepted. But neither 918 Elite defender could come up with the interception and instead, it was batted down but Sapulpa 2027 wide receiver Dawson Goodlin dove in and snagged it off the Broken Arrow turf. It was without a doubt the best play that we saw on Saturday when you consider everything that went into the play. 918 Smoke avoided the loss, it was a spectacular play by Goodlin and they'll certainly take some momentum into Sunday for bracket play. And ironically, their first game will be against the Sooner 7 team that stunned them at the buzzer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194670' first='Braydon' last='Wilkes'] - 2027 - Festus (Missouri)

We had a ton of Oklahoma talent but there was also some out of state teams that came to Broken Arrow and went to work. Festus Tigers Gold out of Missouri came down and had a good day on Saturday. While watching for them for a couple games, we couldn't help but notice 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1194670' first='Braydon' last='Wilkes'] and he was a steady presence from start to finish. Wilkes was a big target for the Festus passing game and he looked like a prototypical tight end prospect when it comes to the next level. Simply put, Wilkes was one of the more consistent pass catchers during pool play on Saturday. Anytime they needed to move the ball and keep a drive alive, it was Wilkes that was usually on the other end. We're looking forward to seeing more of him on Sunday as they try to finish strong.

[player_tooltip player_id='473993' first='Canon' last='Bronson'] - 2027 - Heritage Hall (Oklahoma)

Heritage Hall 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='473993' first='Canon' last='Bronson'] has had a really solid offseason with Sooner 7 and their '27 squad. Bronson has been lining up at the tight end position and it has seemed to fit him just fine. We watched Bronson early on in the 2024 season and he was splitting time at quarterback. But Bronson looks like he's been living in the weight room for the last six months and has grown from a physical standpoint. On Saturday in particular, Bronson became the security blanket of the Sooner 7 offense. The Heritage Hall standout would make a living by camping in the middle of the field and showcased a high on-field IQ to go along with his connection with the quarterback. He would break his route off and find that soft spot in the defense and sit down, allowing him to be wide open. Bronson's future position is something that we're going to be following this spring and summer and obviously going into the fall.

Caydon Anderson - 2027 - Choctaw (Oklahoma)

We mentioned the late game heroics from Sooner 7 as Mullen found Atkinson in the final seconds. But during two games that we watched on Saturday, Choctaw 2027 wide receiver Caydon Anderson was the top offensive threat on that offense. Anderson was catching everything thrown his way and every time we were watching, it seemed like he was making another tough catch. He was killing defenses with his intermediate routes and he was doing it all over the field. Looking back at some of the clips that we got on Saturday, touchdown after touchdown was going to Anderson. We don't keep official stats but if we did, it wouldn't be surprising to find out that Anderson not only led the team in touchdown and conversion receptions but he was probably near the top of the 18U division. Anderson was definitely one of the top offensive threats that we watched throughout the day on Saturday.
