The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit came through Oklahoma for the first weekend in March and it was the largest 7v7 tournament in the three years that Prep Redzone has been doing 7v7 tournaments. We'll have a ton of content dropping all week, taking a look at the best players that stood out throughout the tournament. In this breakdown, we're putting that spotlight on the 15U division and specifically Sooner 7. This program had a very successful weekend, winning three out of the five divisions and having two teams that finished as runner ups.

The 15U team would drop their final game of pool play to go 2-1 on Saturday and had some absolute battles during bracket play to punch their ticket to the championship game. That included a semifinal win that went to overtime. They would then face Prolific in the title game and after fighting adversity all morning, they absolutely dominated, winning 31-6 on Sunday. Below, we take a look at six players that stood out during that championship game specifically but also throughout the tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='589663' first='Brian' last='Jones Jr.'] - 2028 Running Back/Wide Receiver - Bixby

Following every championship game, there is a trophy presentation. Bixby's [player_tooltip player_id='589663' first='Brian' last='Jones Jr.'] was seen following the game holding the trophy like a baby. We joked with him that there must be something about Bixby Spartans and gold ball trophies. Jones was terrific again this weekend and he is continuing his momentum, coming off a solid freshman season with the reigning state champions. Jones is a complete mismatch in terms of speed because he can get separation from just about anyone and he was able to do that time after time, throughout the weekend in Broken Arrow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1549140' first='Brice' last='Owens'] - 2027 Quarterback - Springdale Har-Ber

Sooner 7 has widened their reach to include some very talented players from northwest Arkansas over the last several years. Springdale Har-Ber 2027 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1549140' first='Brice' last='Owens'] led the 15U squad throughout the weekend and we were certainly impressed with his ability to march this offense up and down the field. Getting a chance to watch Owens go to work for a few games on Sunday, it was impressive how methodical he was within the offense. We don't think the football hit the turf very often. He was dissecting defenses with accuracy throughout the two days in Broken Arrow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1642495' first='Caleb' last='Peterson'] - 2028 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Lincoln Christian

The first of two dynamic 2028 speedsters from Lincoln Christian, [player_tooltip player_id='1642495' first='Caleb' last='Peterson'] had a really strong showing on both sides of the ball. At wide receiver, he gave Sooner 7 another weapon in the passing game and because Peterson has legitimate track speed, he was able to create separation with ease. But Peterson was also a ball hawk throughout the weekend and played well on the defensive side of the ball. He's impressed us before in various 7v7 tournaments, including our own tourney that we held in Oklahoma last year. He continues to shine when the eyes are on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] - 2028 Running Back - Lincoln Christian

At this time last year, we were writing about Lincoln Christian 2028 speedster [player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] as the MVP of the 14U championship game at our tournament. This year, Wright was once again one of the top players on the field and he had a strong showing, specifically on Sunday. We've said it before and we'll say it again, Wright is absolutely electric with the football in his hands. He gives his team a chance to score, every time he has the ball. It's not shocking that he saw significant playing time as a freshman and was impactful as Lincoln Christian won another state championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='1176238' first='Israel' last='Hammons'] - 2027 Athlete - Choctaw

The first of two Choctaw Yellowjackets on this breakdown, 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1176238' first='Israel' last='Hammons'] is a prospect that we'll go on the record that he's about to blow up in a major way. Hammons is a massive swiss army knife and this weekend, he did a little bit of everything for Sooner 7. Which isn't new to him after he played multiple positions on defense and was the leading tackler on special teams for Choctaw during the 2024 season. But this weekend, Hammons was at his best as a pass catcher for Sooner 7. He was a big target with soft but reliable hands that brought in everything thrown his way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1642493' first='Kentrell' last='Gaddis II'] - 2028 Defensive Back - Choctaw

We are starting to really like the talent that is being developed and is currently on the Choctaw defense and specifically in the secondary. They have some dudes and quite a few were playing this weekend. 2028 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1642493' first='Kentrell' last='Gaddis II'] is a name that we were familiar with coming into the weekend but by the end of the two days in Broken Arrow, we thought he was one of the best defensive backs in the 15U division. Gaddis made some huge plays, specifically on Sunday when it was win or go home. Gaddis is yet another 2028 name to know already.
