We were able to see some nice gunslinger guys out there today. I must say, I was impressed with a few of them. They had some good ball placement. You can't judge poise from 7v7, but we saw some good characteristics from these guys today.

[player_tooltip player_id='1196806' first='Tate' last='Mathis']

Mathis knows how to put the football where it needs to be. He is a young man who has some good size and a good arm. Mathis has a quick release that allows him to have a nice zip on the football. He does not need his coach to stand over his head, telling him where to throw the football. You can see that he is a leader when he steps on the field. He walks around with a lot of confidence. We love to see that in quarterbacks. We are very excited to see him again tomorrow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610705' first='Deairus' last='Smith']

Smith was just so smooth today. It's like he made his throws so effortlessly. Yes, we are going to be sure to keep up with him. He was talking his trash, but you could see how intelligent he was on the field. Smith has a strong arm and he is also accurate. He made it very easy for his receivers to catch the football.

Jeremiah Stewart

Stewart is a player that did a good job of getting the football to his guys. He has a good arm with a good presence in the pocket. His receivers were making some great catches for him today. Stewart knows how to put the football in the right spot for his guys. You are not going to see him get rattled. He does a good job of keeping himself composed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1188708' first='Cosmo' last='DeMatteo']

DeMatteo has a nice arm. He left the crowd in awe completing a pass where nobody in the stadium seeing the receiver coming to the area. The ball hit his target right in his hands. DeMatteo is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect who we feel is going to be a player to watch in the 2028 class. His passes today were amazing.

We were able to see some nice gunslinger guys out there today. I must say, I was impressed with a few of them. They had some good ball placement. You can't judge poise from 7v7, but we saw some good characteristics from these guys today.
