Kelley plays within the structure of the defense and works well off of his teammates. He takes on blocks effectively in freeing up linebackers for tackles. He diagnoses plays plays quickly, flows to the football and keeps the play in front of him. His motor and fearless approach make him a factor on special teams, too. He operates effectively in man-to-man or zone coverage. Pata sticks to his guy whether playing bump-and run or while giving cushion to the receiver. Peters is a handful in tight space, overpowering opponents and getting them on their heels off of the snap. He also shows he can get out in space and reach his blocks. Peters is a boss in the run and quick-pass games, which most of his clips illustrate. He earned first-team all-district honors as a junior last fall. The players are tough and fundamentally sound. Meyer certainly fits that description. As a junior during the Wildcats' unbeaten season last fall, Meyer caught eight passes for 157 yards and two touchdowns. He produced 8.5 tackles for loss and 8.0 sacks on defense. When lined up at tight end, he is a willing and able blocker.
