If there's one thing I love more than the football season, it's getting hyped for the season. So, as part of my “way too early” coverage, I wanted to highlight some of the top 1-2 punches you schools expect to see in 2025. In my “Dynamic Duos” series I will be featuring some of the best tandems in the state.

Here is part four of our new “Dynamic Duos” series:

Although the Sky Hawks will see a great 2025 class depart for graduation, there are still several great pieces in place for their title defense next season. One position that looks to be a strength is the secondary, namely at safety where Skutt Catholic return two elite players who can limit big plays over top. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='402140' first='Brenden' last='Ruth'] had a solid first season with Skutt after transferring from Seward, recording 28 tackles on the year. Liebentritt had a breakout year as a sophomore with 40 tackles, two TFLs, and an interception.

The Griffins were a team that I picked in the preseason to take a huge step forward and they more than delivered on that. I think they'll continue that positive trend with another big year, which will be aided by keeping their two leading receivers last season in juniors [player_tooltip player_id='533088' first='Seth' last='Kraegel'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1815944' first='Carson' last='Herrmann']. Seth paced Gretna East with 35 receptions for 741 yards and eight receiving touchdowns, with 8 tackles, a TFL, and an interception on defense. Carson actually had the most receptions on the team with 37 catches for 422 yards and six receiving touchdowns.

This is scary duo that is set to punish opposing offenses for the next couple of years. Lincoln East linebacker duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1085162' first='Will' last='Manning'] and [player_tooltip player_id='644078' first='Colton' last='Tucker'] already looks like a pair of future college prospects with next-level size and playmaking. Will led the Spartans defense with 83 tackles, eight TFLs, an interception, and a fumble recovery. Tucker was no slouch himself with 59 tackles, two TFLs, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
