I had the pleasure of seeing Alex live last season, and sometimes you have players stretch their real height/weight - it's almost assumed these days by college coaches and evaluators. Alex is every bit of 6'3 and he may even be a little taller. He is a strong & physical player on the outside who does a good job of winning against man-to-man coverage. The big thing with Alex is his catch radius - when you look at his film, he makes some incredible catches from all areas of the field. Alex also shows some nice run-after-catch ability in the open field. Alex has several Division 1 college football offers and is a good bet to move up in our next rankings update.

I also had a chance to see Raishawn up close last season, and he is a physically impressive player for sure, every bit of 6'2 and I think he is a good 185 and probably has room to add to that in the weight room. Raishawn jumped onto the recruiting scene with a strong start last season and now has several Division 1 offers. Raishawn simply is big and fast, and he can win against man coverage, especially on the deep ball downfield. Porter Ridge's offense often sees favorable coverage looks from a scheme perspective, and Raishawn does a good job of taking advantage on the outside consistently.

Kelson is a player I've been high on for the last couple of years, and he broke out even more on a bigger stage in his first year at Weddington last season. Playing a lot out of the slot, Kelson can be effective in the running game, quick screen game, and downfield passing game. Kelson can do some special things off of jet sweeps and reverses in the running game from the receiver spot - his speed and agility in the open field are truly next-level. Kelson also has some impressive speed - he can catch some deep balls in space and he won't get caught from behind. I was so glad to see Kelson to start getting some well-deserved recruiting attention because he is one of those players that can excel at a high level with his size not being a detriment.

Jonathan jumped on my radar as a prospect last season, when he started making some plays week in and week out when I was studying Weddington as a whole. I like Jonathan's speed in his route running - he finds way to separate against man coverage and find holes versus zone coverage consistently. Jonathan also has some strong hands - he makes plays on a variety of routes and is not afraid to work the middle of the field on intermediate routes. Jonathan picked up a notable offer from Appalachian State, and he has a big opportunity to step in and be a big piece of the Warriors offensive attack.

I saw Andrew live last season, and he was impressive as an all-around receiver. Andrew, I would say is a possession type of receiver who can expand his game to a big-time player - and I think that will happen this upcoming season because Sun Valley had a dynamic deep threat who graduated this past year. Andrew's hands are some of the best I've ever seen live - he caught balls at all three levels of the defense against both man and zone coverage very well. I honestly think he's a bit under the radar, but he's playing with a very good quarterback and an offensive scheme that will allow him to excel. I'm excited to see him in the upcoming camp season for sure.

Honorable Mentions

Wyatt Lineberry - Sun Valley - Wyatt caught some nice passes last season running some excellent routes. He will have a chance to have an expanded role this upcoming season, and I think he will have some good production for the Spartans.

Mason Inman - Cuthbertson - Mason takes advantage of some favorable coverage looks in a run-first offense, and shows some good speed to make some plays against single coverage. He should be the primary target in the Cavaliers' passing game.

Micah Davis - Parkwood - Micah is probably the best receiver in the area who is really under the radar. He had over 40 catches last year for a very young Parkwood team, and he figures to even have a bigger season next year, showing speed and strong hands on his routes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1600223' first='Bryson' last='Simpkins'] - Monroe - Bryson can play both sides of the ball and should breakout big-time next year for the Redhawks. Monroe consistently puts out great athletes, and Bryson caught around 30 passes last year in a limited role. Excellent height at 6'3 and good speed, he is one to watch.

Ryan Walker - Forest Hills - We know this program can produce top-level athletes, and in catching 33 passes last season as a 3rd receiving option, it's a good bet that Ryan is going to be one of the important pieces of the Yellow Jackets offense next year.

Cooper Wise - Piedmont - The leading returning receiver for the Panthers, I expect for Cooper to easily increase his production as a main threat in their offense. Piedmont has a returni
