As we get deeper into the month of March, the 2025 high school football season is in full swing! With that in mind, we will now be beginning another round of rankings updates. To kick off this round of updates, we have released our first rankings for the class of 2028. With these rankings being officially posted, I have taken the past week to break them down by position. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, I will wrap up my position rankings breakdowns with our top ATH in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1174234' first='Paxton' last='Gray'] is a player who caught my attention with an impressive freshman season. He did most of his damage out of the backfield on offense, running the ball 38 times for 236 yards and three touchdowns in 12 games. Gray has explosive speed which he uses to run away from the defense on long runs. He also has the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. Paxton also showed the ability to line up in the slot and make plays in the passing game, catching nine passes for 138 yards as a freshman. He also returned one kickoff for a touchdown, and made an impact on defense, finishing the year with 13 tackles and one interception. Paxton will be a player to continue to keep an eye on over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1638833' first='Brady' last='Couch'] is another LCA Eagle who stood out to me as a freshman. On offense, Couch is a very reliable target on the outside at receiver. He has the speed to pose as a deep threat and has also shown the ability to use smooth breaks in his routes to create separation in the short/intermediate passing game. Couch is also impressive after the catch, showing the strength and contact balance to break tackles with ease in the open field. Brady caught four passes for 63 yards in seven games as a freshman. He also made an impact on defense as a defensive back, showing very impressive ball skills. Couch finished this past season with three interceptions. Brady doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as his role continues to grow on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1274991' first='Deion' last='Davidson'] is a player who caught my attention when breaking down freshman year film. He had a very impressive year on the defensive side of the ball at defensive back. Davidson is very reliable in zone coverage, showing the ability to read route combinations and the quarterback to put himself in a good position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to react with perfect timing to make a play, coming away with three interceptions in 12 games as a freshman. He also showed the ability to provide run support, finishing the year with 50 tackles and three tackles for loss. On offense, Davidson is an electric ball carrier who uses his speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away on long runs at any given moment. Davidson finished this past season with seven carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. Deion will be an intriguing prospect to watch as he continues to develop over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1042321' first='Jeremiah' last='Burbage'] is another player who stood out to me when breaking down film for the 28 class. Burbage saw some varsity time as a freshman, mainly on the defensive side of the ball, where he lined up on the outside at corner. He is very impressive in man coverage, showing the ability to open up and run with receivers to mirror their routes. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to react with perfect timing to make a play on the ball, finishing this past season with one interception and multiple pass breakups in 11 games. He also finished the year with 17 tackles and saw some action at receiver, catching two passes for 26 yards. Jeremiah should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.

To wrap up our top five ATH in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1638819' first='Darian' last='Bryant']. Bryant made a huge impact on defense at inside linebacker as a freshman. He is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to read his keys quickly then come downhill to meet the ball carrier and make the tackle before they can get going. Darian finished this past season with 72 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in 11 games. He also finished the year with half a sack and made an impact on offense, carrying the ball 16 times for 77 yards and a touchdown. Bryant should be a player to continue to keep an eye on heading into his sophomore year.
