2026 Film Room Evaluations: Offense

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Deep dive into some of the under the radar 2026 offensive prospects from around the state.</h2>    Ideal size, length, and frame for a TE at 6'5” 225 lbs. Can line up with his hand in the dirt or split out wide where he creates an immediate mismatch for defenders. He's a great jump ball/redzone threat that can box out defenders at the catch point and use his length to go over the top, nine of his 12 receptions on the year were for touchdowns. Also contributes significantly in the run game, where his blocking ability stands out. He has the strength to handle edge rushers and defensive ends while also being able to create movement by sealing blocks or driving defenders off the ball. Dual sport athlete that also excels on the basketball court.      Laufenburger performed well throughout his junior season and racked up the post season accolades with First Team honors in both the district and region as well as all state honorable mention. At 6'2” 280 lbs. he's got strong compact frame that packs power at the POA. He brings strong contact at initial engagement to create immediate knockback and generate movement. Uses his strength and hands to control/sustain his block while maintaining good pad level. Flashes good balance and a firm base in pass protection allowing him to mirror defenders lateral movement and keep the pocket clean. He's quick with his hands and times his punch well to disrupt rushers before they can gain leverage. Expect to see a bump in recruitment going into his senior year.      Thomas showed great year over year improvement throughout his junior season on both sides of the ball at WR and DB. At 6'1” 185 lbs. he's got good natural ability and flashed explosive playmaking potential with the ball in his hands. A good downfield threat that can stretch the defense and create separation. Plus ball skills and ability to adjust to ball flight tracking it all the way to his hands. Extends well to compete for the ball at the high point. Like his strength to fight through contact and bring in contested receptions in traffic. Eight of his 24 receptions turned into touchdowns while averaging over 22 yards per catch. He's got good momentum going into his senior year after being named First Team All Region.      Ott is an impressive QB that has been highly productive in his first two years as a starter for Yuma Catholic, throwing for 3,100 yards and 33 touchdowns as a sophomore then 2,700 yards and 35 touchdowns as a junior. The position comes naturally for him with great feel, awareness, and instincts to create/improvise. Shows good pocket demeanor and movement skills, he's never rushing through his reads and is able to escape to either direction while keeping his eyes downfield. Excellent vision to go through his progression and diagnose coverages to locate an open target. Like his ability to create secondary throwing lanes with his movement. Puts good touch on his throws and is able to place the ball into tight windows allowing his receivers to make a play at the catch point. He's a competitor that will put up big numbers again as a senior.      Brown had a breakout junior season for Paradise Honors racking up nearly 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns on 55 receptions. He's a weapon out of the slot that is savvy in how he creates separation at all three levels. Does a good job setting up his leverage and mixing up speeds to be creative as a route runner. Not big in stature at 5'9” 150 lbs. but plays bigger and competes for every ball at the high point. He's strong at the catch point and attacks the ball in the air with confidence. Great ability to extend gains after the catch, he's got good open field speed and the awareness to evade defenders as he weaves through traffic. Led the 2026 class in receiving yards last season showing his big play ability.
