You Are Athlete Birmingham- WRs Who Dominated Saturday

At the You Are Athlete camp this past Saturday, he did exactly that- consistently finding ways to dominate in drills, and ultimately was picked as one of the top performers at WR on the day. White has some serious speed and acceleration he uses to torch DBs downfield and is incredibly explosive with the ball in his hands. He frequently breaks off massive plays off of screen passes, shorter routes, and carries out of the backfield- it's easy for defenses to lose track of him, he can beat them in so many different ways and has the athleticism to completely flip the field every down. White was incredibly productive for Minor last season in a lot of different ways- ending his season with 31 carries for 224 yards and 4 touchdowns, 24 receptions for 373 yards and 6 touchdowns, and 2 kickoff returns for touchdowns. Be sure to watch out for White going forward- he's been having a great offseason, listing offers from WKU, Jacksonville State, Alabama State, and more. Unsurprisingly, as I watched Dixon compete in the one-on-one period this past Saturday, I thought to myself the exact same thing. [player_tooltip player_id='1544159' first='Jaxson' last='Dixon'] is a weapon at the WR position who is going into a huge season this fall for Foley- he was unbelievable Saturday, consistently beating DBs off a wide variety of routes and making difficult catches look easy. Dixon flies around the field no matter how you line him up- he can take the top off defenses, is a massive threat after the catch in short and intermediate parts of the field, and consistently gains terrific separation from DBs off of his speed and route running. After his performance at camp last Saturday, I'm happy to say I've seen the light- Jordan was terrific all day long and came up with some highlight-reel plays against some really talented DBs in the one-on-one period, ending the day as one of the top WRs in the entire camp. I was fired up watching Jordan work, his releases and routes were fantastic- he's extremely quick, has great footwork, and generates a ridiculous amount of separation from DBs- he was finding ways to get open all day long no matter who lined up against him, it was super impressive to watch. After watching his tape, those traits clearly show up on gamedays- he's excellent at finding holes in coverages, hauling in passes, and creating yardage after the catch. It was also really impressive seeing how well Jordan blocked downfield- he opened up tons of opportunities for his teammates and is just such a well-rounded WR. Speed kills, and Pettway has a ton of it- he was flying around the field during drills, consistently torching DBs and coming up with some huge grabs off a wide variety of routes. I was really impressed with Pettway's route running, he is incredibly quick, plays with a ton of twitch, and can get open at multiple levels of the field. It was also really encouraging seeing how Pettway attacked the ball- he's got a set of really impressive hands he used to fight through contact and bring in some tough-to-catch passes while covered.
