The Watch List: Under the Radar Prospects Across the State

Dinkins plays with a ton of confidence- he is excellent at maneuvering and navigating the pocket, is great under pressure, and has impressive arm talent that allows him to hit any target on the field. Dinkins has great arm strength and accuracy, he can push the ball downfield, is great at leading and hitting his WRs in stride, and has excellent ball placement on some really difficult-to-throw passes. I'm most impressed with Dinkin's ability to extend plays, he is excellent at evading defenders and seeing the field on the run- he frequently gets out of sacks and delivers clutch throws when plays look to be dead. It was easy to see these skills translate to the field last fall, Dinkins completed 139/219 passing attempts for 1936 yards and 11 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions, with 43 carries for 161 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground as well. Donald is incredibly versatile and can be used in a ton of different ways in the passing game, he's excellent with the ball in his hands and makes explosive plays off screens, quick passes, and as a deep threat. Donald is great at finding separation, he's a talented route runner who consistently beats defenders everywhere on the field with his speed and quickness. Donald also has a set of really consistent and reliable hands that help him secure some really tough-to-catch passes- he fights off defenders for the ball, making catches through coverage/contact, down the sideline, and deep downfield for huge gains/scoring plays. Donald and [player_tooltip player_id='1624913' first='Alvin' last='Dinkins'] have developed great chemistry together, making huge plays through the air against some talented secondaries last fall. At 6'2 235, Harris has great size and presents a lot of problems for opposing offensive lines as a pass rusher. Harris is quick off the snap, plays with a ton of speed and power, and can quickly make his way into the backfield to generate pressure and hurry the QB. I'm really impressed with how Harris uses his leverage to beat offensive linemen- he gets really low and generates a ton of power, leading to him consistently shaking off blocks and making his way to the QB. Harris also affects the passing game by breaking up passes at the line of scrimmage- he does a great job using his hands to bat down balls and is an overall threat on passing downs that has to be accounted for. Harris doesn't have much film to show just yet- but is absolutely a prospect to keep an eye out for heading into next season. Howard plays with tons of speed and anticipation, creating tons of problems for opposing offenses. It's easy to see this on tape- Howard is excellent at reading and reacting to plays, consistently flying around the field to break up/intercept passes and stop the run. Howard plays zone at a really high level- sometimes covering multiple targets on a single play, never getting beaten over the top, and using his hands to come away with huge plays on the ball. Howard has the potential to become a serious ball hawk- he's great at baiting QBs into bad throws and frequently comes away with huge PBUs and INTs when targeted. Howard put together some really good film against Auburn last fall and deserves more eyes. At 6'5 200, Lee has terrific size as a pass rusher, he completely overwhelms opposing OL with his size and speed, making a big impact in the trenches every down. Lee is quick off the snap, has a wide variety of paws rush moves, and can work his way into the backfield to generate pressure and place big hits on the quarterback. Lee is not just a pass rusher though, he provides a ton of value as a run defender as well. Lee is great at pursuing and wrapping up the ball carrier behind the line of scrimmage, consistently crashing in and stopping the run in some huge moments for his team. I was really impressed with Lee's tape- he has some impressive athletic traits with his size and speed and can create big plays against the run and pass down in the trenches.
